I hope they are going to win the SB every year. My heart can almost convince my own brain that they will. Every single year.

But I'm not stupid enough to believe what my hear is telling my brain.

Which team are you talking about? The team that went 8-8 with a rookie QB? The one who has a young d-line that is the top in the NFL? Solid rotation of RBs? DBs who improved at the end of last season? About to add a solid playmaker WR?

Yeah but they're also the same team that was wildly inconsistent last year also. Remember, they only went on 1 winning streak all year, at the end of the season when they were able to win 2 whole games in a row...

Last season was a nice over achieving year, but lets not be total Homers and make them into something they're not.

If guys like Geno, Milliner, Richardson, Winters, and Bohanen can build upon their rookie years, and the rookies coming in can contribute right away we might have a shot at making the playoffs. Consistency will be everything though.

Same here. I`ve been waiting 45 years for the Jets to prove me wrong. Who knows? I might be right after I die(that the Jets will never win again in my lifetime). This franchise has been "rebuilding" since 1970. Seems to me that too many Jets fans are quite happy if they simply make the playoffs every 7 years, which is about the average for this franchise. Being that they made the AFCCG back to back, it might be another 14 years, which seems more likely than the Jets winning, or even losing the SB anytime soon. LOL

 

I think we outta wait until TC time before we start talking about the team's chances. Right now we don't even know who the #1 CB will be, or WR / TE / OG / OLB / safety / maybe even QB. We are stocked with youth and have another deep draft with lots of picks. Free agency just started.

While I certainly love your optimism! I think as a team they need to focus on constructing a playoff contending unit before we start talking about going to the big dance....Let alone actually winning it.....imo

 

Virtually everyone in this thread is being pretty negative and I have to admit I don't think its at all likely. That being said, given the strength and continued development of the front 7 on the defensive side and if they can get the secondary straightened out, the jets will almost certainly have a top 5 defense and, likely, the top run defense. With that kind of defense 20 points is going to win you a lot of games.

Assuming the Jets get some more offensive playmakers through FA and the draft and Geno continues to develop as he did over the last month of the season, it seems likely that with MM running the offense that the Jets may be able to put some serious points on the board.

Once again, I think the jets are likely 2 to 3 year away, but I have to admit it is possible next year and I'd love to see it.
