they did? last time i checked they have holes on the O-Line, are phasing out Welker which has Julian Edelman getting tons of snaps. Please just retract the silly statement and make it go away.
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe Rex is waiting until after surgery just to make sure it's 'really bad'. It'd suck to put Revis on IR and then have the surgeon say "Actually, things weren't as bad as we feared. Revis should be covering routs in 4-6 weeks". Just the fact he hasn't been ir'd yet says there's at least a glimmer of hope for the post season.
This is a "hail mary" move by the Jets and a strong indication that Kyle Wilson has no future with the team. Tanny needs to sign some actual, real cornerbacks with some degree of NFL experience. Just look at how well the Hayden Smith experiment worked.
? how the hell did you come to that conclusion? we move him to number two and replace his old position and thats an indicator hes done with the team? :breakdance:
It is comical to think that Kyle Wilson has no future with the team based off of a RB's switch to CB. Geez, everybody expects all players to play like Revis every week.
They are ABSOLUTELY phasing out Welker. He wants money and an extension they aren't willing to give. They just re-up A Hern for a huge contract on top of Gronk. They brought in a flurry of receivers, and they are grooming Edelman to take over the Welker role. He saw the snaps he saw last week simply because A HERN is out and Edelman was sidelined for a bit during the game. Make NO mistake Welker's numbers will dip and the Pats will not retain him. It's clear as day.
Back to McKnight, I was someone who thought that he should have gotten more carries. He was never really given a shot as a RB--which I think is a terrible mistake. I think he could have been the game changer we really needed on O.
This I agree with..... but I guess 1st impressions last a long time. As him as a CB: if you think has ANYTHING to do with Kyle Wilson, you're retarded. How often is the 4th/5th CB on the field? right now he's Troy Brown but faster .
Jets didn't even give him enough of a shot at RB What the fuck are these guys doing man this is baffling the moves the Jets make
Yes but if McKnight can actually make a decent cornerback of himself he will have increased his value quite a bit over what he was before. If he can actually show that he can cover a reciever in a reasonably good way he will have found himself a home on the Jets and will have increased his salary potential in the NFL itself. This could work for the Jets, but it could work out really well for McKnight too.
Maybe McKnight didn't show enough to earn carries. Maybe he fumbles too much to be trusted. I'm sure there's a good reason he wasn't getting carries.
Why is it baffling? They need a cornerback and they already know what they have physically in McKnight. Rex has spoken of converting him to CB in the past and even used him in that capacity in a few games. Rather than being baffling it actually makes good sense if it works.
