it would be much better to axe noodle arm and start to clean up some future cap room.

then, robertson should be next on the non-performer target list.

Pete Kendall wasn't a 6/1 cut. He was cut by Dennis Green for unspecified disciplinary reasons. At the time people speculated that he reported Green's practices to the NFLPA, which the Cards got penalized for.

Either way, you have to draft some O-line to keep the position stocked, but I think the Jets will spend a 1st & 3r or 2nd & 3rd on O-line.

We have our depth with the recent Oline signings, we need to go young and talented strictly draft for that.....

June 1st cuts are always overblown. The last few years, there have not been any massive cutes come June 1. And remember, any player cut on June 1 is a free agent and 31 other teams can compete for him. With so many picks in the early rounds, why roll the dice on such an obvious flyer as the June 1st cuts? I know some of you can't stand the thought of the Jets making "boring" OL picks next Saturday rather than picking some "exciting" playmaker. But knowledgeable fans are not concerned that the picks not be exciting, or might not give rise to the opportunity to buy some new jerseys. They realize that a football team is built and it success dependent on the OL and DL.

First you post thousands of Bradway dracula posts. Now it is the continual "noodle arm" posts regarding Pennington. Give it up already. He restructured his contract. He's a Jet for 2006. And any Jet fan should, at this point, be rooting for his recovery and a good season, because he is likely the starter come September. I find it embarrassing that Jet fans consider themselves knowledgeable, but that some criticize Pennington for something he can't help (his injury) and forget his past accomplishments and the class act and leader he has been for this team.

All that counts is winning the ring & so far Penny has not assisted us in that endeavor which is where I think that other poster you berated is coming from. He is correct to point out that Penny maybe more of a liability then a asset as you are that he is only now signed for 3M for 06.

So all QBs without rings should be cut by their teams? That will put a lot of QBs on the open market, including:

    Manning
    Leftwich
    Carr
    Palmer
    McNair
    Green
    Brees
    Plummer
    Manning
Bledsoe (or does his ring as a back up count)
    Brunnell
    McNabb
    Culpepper
    Vick
    Delhomme
    Hasselback

In fact, the only QBs who should keep their jobs are Brady, Roethlesberger, Brad Johnson, Warner, Dilfer, and Favre. That's a pretty mixed list. Enough with the pronouncements about a ring being what is needed to justify a player or a coach being on a team. It's getting as old as the repetive noodle arm comments.
