That's the big thing. You can critique the team all you want, but at the end of the day you have to sit back and enjoy yourself, sometimes I forget to do that in my attempts to figure out the Jets. I strive to be a zen like football fan, but its something I have to keep working on.
I'll take 2 afc championship games and a collapsed season. I won't accept it as the end-product, but I will take it as a beginning in the right direction. I am a patient person - especially with this franchise.
All I know is between the time football ends for the year and begins again with the first preseason game, LIFE SUCKS... We can complain about the ups and downs of the games as we witness them, but I think we all forget what it's like for months and months to have no football at all. I personally find baseball boring, and I'm not really interested in basketball. Boxing used to be a good break between football seasons but boxing today has become a joke. Outside of football there really isn't much I follow or want to watch, so even if my team has problems and doesn't look like a Superbowl contender I still am grateful to have a game to look forward to on Sunday. Do I want the team to win? Sure I do, but I also know that the season goes by very fast, and when it's over life sucks again. Hope the Jets make the Superbowl this year, but still pretty glad to have football games to watch again too.
ive learned to grow patience with rex. mainly from the two back to back afc champ games, because it was surprising as hell. and when our defense came out in 09 like wildfire, i could tell that rex was something special. we need to keep rex as long as possible, give him time, he will get it eventually.
This all hinges on if Powell becomes a game changer on offense and if Rex has some new schemes designed with the absence of Revis.
I too am a patient person, as I have been a Jets fan since 67. Just remember that the average life span nowadays is about 78.
Wow way to minimize Sanchez's performance, He missed Cumberland wide open in the endzone, he threw another Redzone INT to a phantom reciver not to mention the first one to Clyde Gates,Sanchez did not look like a 4th year QB he still looks like a Rookie 75% of the time, And besides rewatching the Buffalo game I rather staple my eyelids shut then watch the other two
Yea well Tanny needs to get it not Rex, Tanny forgets about our offense every offseason and has put Sanchez in the position to fail. He took away all of his WR's he traded for Tebow putting Sanchez in a horrible position , if we miss the playoffs again this year I don't see how Tanny survives this, not to mention that the last few draft years haven't been anything speical to say the least, Rex will be fine Woody loves him, Tanny will fall on the sword if this season goes bad
Sanchez was off balance and under heavy pressure when he missed Cumberland and Flacco threw a pick in the end zone last game that was worse. Besides we don't know if Hill was supposed to come out for that or what exactly happened. It could have been on him. But hell, people love to pretend that the QB is the only position on the team. Yeah 75% of the time he looks like a rookie. All those receiver drops are definitely Sanchez making rookie mistakes!
