I totally agree on the lack of entertainment value in the Jets right now. The only thing that is fun to watch is Leon Washington running back kicks and we usually only get that opportunity after the opponent has scored on us. This is entertainment. That's what football is. We pay for tickets and DirectTV and all that other stuff related to the game so that we can enjoy watching the Jets. If they are boring as hell but win now and then, as in the Herm years, it is bearable although not all that entertaining. When they're not winning it's just ugly to watch them, both on offense and defense. Last year we at least had the entertainment value on defense of watching a blitz-happy team letting it all hangout play after play. This year the defense is just as conservative as the offense and it's like slow water torture watching the games drip away drop by drop.
Why? Please someone tell me how we constantly get owners in this organization that tolerate mediocrity & incompetence? How they hire coaches that make excuses for their ineptitude & their teams inabilities. We need results & performance now, we have been rebuilding for 37 years. when will the pain stop. The time is now! Mangini-Go back to your ball boy position Shottenhimer-You are underqualified for the ballboy job & need not apply.

You should come by my office every Tuesday and Friday. I work with a handful of huge Notre Dame boosters, and I hear the exact same thing about Charlie Weis twice a week: how the arrogance-thing really fries their collective ass. Almost seems pathological to Belichick-line coaches - Saban, Weis, Mangini; although, it seemed to elude Crennel. Great stuff if you're winning. Gives you the feeling you're being led by Patton, and slapping soldiers around as you kick ass across Europe. But, when you're losing, you wonder why someone has to be a unsuccessful AND a dick at the same time. You wonder what the purpose of being Patton-like arrogant if it clearly ain't working.
