Who are the prospects you see coming in FA?

I think he may develop more emotional maturity, but in terms of intellectual ability, 50 years won't move the needle on that. Please don't make me have to come up with example after example of poor cognitive function like sliding for a 2 yard loss instead of running out of bounds for a 1 yard gain. It happens so many times it should be obvious.

I like Hoyer the best but I wouldn't be upset if we didn't sign him. I don't love any of the FAs, I think if Bradford shakes free I want him or if we can make a move to get Foles I would want him. That is my preference but it's hard to find a QB outside of the draft.

I'm okay with Fitzpatrick he can play the position. Is he great? No. But he knows the system and he brings competition for Geno and he could hold the fort if he has to start, and he can mentor Geno as a backup.

You guys are aware he broke his leg last year....with that being said, he's a great backup for Geno.

Yeah, a clean break of the tibia in December. He should be ready to roll.

Is Fitzpatrick the answer at QB? No. But he's a darn good player to have until we find the answer, he's a competent QB which is more than we can say about any QB we've had since Pennington basically

When the Titans select Mariotta hopefully we can get Mettenberger from them for a 4th rounder :D

i only like bringing in fitz under the circumstance that we are keeping the 6th pick and going with mariotta. good mentor type who can definitely play and play well with our OC (chan did bring out the best in him). otherwise i want foles. cant trust bradford with his health, and dont think anyone else is any good. i have a very light interest in hoyer but would much rather go with foles or the draft/fitz option

That's all well and good but you don't have the luxury of knowing what's going to happen on draft day right now.

Smith doesn't need mentoring. He needs a new career.

All you guys have to do is pick up Fitz , Spiller and Stevie and the 2011 Bills offense will be back in full effect

How is anyone unhappy wih this potential move?
High completion percentage, good TD-int ratio, had his best years under our new OC

HE THREW 6 TDs IN A GAME LAST YEAR!

Nobody that can do that is worse than Gina. He's the perfect temporary veteran fix while we groom a new qb.

    PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

I would rather get Savage than Fitz. Playing a known mediocre QB is a simple and proven formula for remaining mediocre. If we want to draft Mariota and play Fitz for a half to full year fine, if not it is a losing move. I would rather suck trying to find THE guy than be mediocre with retread veterans like Fitz

I think you definitely draft a QB to sit this year. I also feel like a mediocre QB can succeed with an above average running game and an elite defense. Throw a couple stud WRs and a familiarity with the offense and a successful mediocre QB is possible.

So you'd rather play a known less-than-mediocre qb in geno?

Of 31 qualifying QBs, the 2 w/ the lowest completion pct over the last 2 seasons: Geno Smith (57.5), Brian Hoyer (56.0), per @ESPNStatsInf
    Fitz> Hoyer
