Smoltz tried a swinging squeeze bunt with runners on the corners. LoDuca picked up the ball and tagged McCann (the runner from 3rd base) as he was running home. MLBs Worst Umpire Angel Hernandez called McCann safe, LoDuca flipped out and wound up spiking the ball. He was ejected.

I've never seen a balk called AFTER a play was over.. that makes no sense.

A balk is suppose to be called right away and everything blown dead.

 

I love the generic sounding Asian music for Matsui's at-bats.

They should play La Cucaracha for every Latino player.

 

You could see Hernandez moving out from behind the plate as the pitch was coming in and waving his arms. It was a ridiculous call though.
