Maybe Bowles is onto something. 1 game is 60 minutes. 5 minutes is 1/12. 1 NFL game is 10 MLB. 5 minutes is basically 7.5 innings, so plenty of time for a comeback.
you guys are crazy the Jets brain trust is just lulling those other teams into a false sense of superiority - you just wait until after the BYE and we pull off a 10 game winning streak
I almost skipped this thread because I couldn't have cared less to see what someone/anyone thought you could positively take away from yesterday's game. I am glad I did not
Very entertaining.. I wonder where our homer contingent are today? Didn't see them in the game thread either. Hmmm... Maybe we should send Trumaine Johnson out to find them since he isn't earning that $72mil on the field..
I disagree. Jags were only up by 2 FG's until almost the end of the 2nd Q. Football is a team game. For a defense to be as effective as possible, it needs points from the offense to take the pressure off. In this case, the Jet offense was not able to mount anything sustainable putting the defense on the field too often. No defense is going to hold down a good offense forever.
This is a valid point, which underscores the priority that should be placed on building a strong offense. The league is set up to reward offense and scoring, and by extension, punish defense, so why do the Jets continue to believe they can build this "shut down "D""? It ain't gonna happen!
