It's refreshing to have a GM who knows what he is doing. But let's play the season first.

That is too catchy NOT to happen. Now I'm concerned.

My opinion is worth little, but I liked Mac and Bowles ever since their first press conference. Of course, not a down has been played under their reign, but I am optimistic and honestly at this point, what is wrong with that?

What is wrong is that you just aren't optimistic enough. You should get a tattoo of Macc's face over your own face, that my friend is worth a lot.

HAHAH! I genuinely LOL'd at this. But, the way I see it, fuck it, might as well be optimistic because SO FAR, there are no reasons not to be. I can deal with disappointment, what's the point in not getting amped. False hope has kept me a Jets fan for this long, can't hurt.

Nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, I felt similarly when I saw the initial press conferences. I felt a sense of optimism hearing these guys speak. They seemed like they knew what they were doing, and had a plan to make the Jets a perennial contender for the Super Bowl.

Then Macc, started making some needed acquisitions in Revis, Cromartie, Gilchrist, and Marshall, which was followed by a very strong draft. What's not to like so far?

I am definitely excited for Jets football, and looking forward to this upcoming season.

As Bill Parcells said, let's not put the kid in the hall of fame just yet.

As a Jet fan I am very excited about the off-season that we had even though I thought we missed a couple opportunities in the draft.

With that being said we haven't even seen these acquisitions on the field yet.

The best player in the draft fell in his lap.......Not trying to take credit away but 31 other GMs would have made the same pick .Will see how the later picks turn out

If he is that great I would hope he is reaching out to Collins like Buffalo, Miami and Dallas are.

Also no Jet GM in recent memory would've taken him (including Parcells, who would've traded down)

So on general principal (whatever that means), you are saying the Jets easily go 12-4 this year?
