Yes the letter I received said that the parking would be prepaid & all 10 games had to be paid for. If U have a permit I would venture to say U will not again be charged when U reach the parking lot at the M/lands
So those of us without season tickets, how do we get into the stadium parking lots to find the scalpers to buy our tickets, if we don't have a parking pass ? Sounds like the stadium lots are not reserved for those with prepaid parking passses, those with season tickets.
Or where do friends driving from different areas meet up? I can't tell friends to meet me at Gate B anymore. So I have to tell friends to leave their cars outside of the Meadowlands area. Park in Rutherford? Jam the Harmon Meadow parking lots? Sucks.
Guess what? Many of you who didn't want the WSS because you couldn't tailgate have the same issue now. My gameday tailgate just got blown to bits. I have 4 seats, but I live in NJ and my brother in LI and I get one pass, so my brother can't park in the stadium. Plus, with limited parking, the parking staff is going to direct you into the nearest lot unless you are there three hours before the game. The upshot - unless you are there at the crack of dawn, it will be impossible to hook up with groups of people from different parts of the area. The whole thing sucks in my opinion. 3-4 years of parking hell. Great!
Well guys, my opinion is. we have no choice... so pony up. I got my notice on Saturday and my check for $150 is going out in today's mail. My world won't change much as a result of this anyway. I would have had to pay $15 each time I went to the stadium, so all this is is money up front. And I use Gate C and park in Lot 16, which is unaffected by the construction on the north side of the stadium. For me, not much has changed except I'm paying in advance and now I at least know I've got admission to my regular parking area.
Joe Willie, You may have to arrange for a meeting place at which your brother can park his car and then join you in your car to use the one parking pass. I'm sure you can work it out. I'm upset too, but I do understand what's going on. With all that construction, they're limiting it to one pass per ticketholder (1-5 seats). It makes sense from their point of view... why would they want more than one car arriving and taking up multiple spots for only 4 tickets when the parking is going to be so limited? Suggestion: have your brother meet you in Elizabeth somewhere and dump off his car in some hotel parking lot. This way you can still cruise right in and enjoy the game and the tailgating.
If this means its going to be harder for scalpers to sell there tickets then I consider that a plus. I HATE SCALPERS!!!
You're SOL for now. But I'm sure your question ends with "Sounds like the stadium lots ARE reserved....." and this is correct. For now, only bonifide Season Ticketholders are receiving invoices for the prepaid seasonal parking. This has to be paid by June 15th. I suppose, if some Season Ticketholders don't wish to avail themselves of the ability to pre-pay, then they may open it up to the general public, but I highly doubt it. I think they'll sell out and, effective with the first game, anyone who does not have a prepaid parking stub for that game will be rejected at the parking lot entrance. You're going to have to do your ticket-buying online before the game, because you won't be able to cruise the parking lot looking for scalpers unless you arrive on foot or get a ride in with someone who has prepaid parking.
Yeah, I hear you Hoobash. I don't know though, those guys are pretty tenacious and resourceful. They'll probably be a lot more visible at the onramps and TNPKE tollbooths. The state police chase them at 16W, but even fear of being arrested there doesn't seem to deter them. They'll probably still be there scalping the prepaid parking stubs or offering them with the tickets, but either way, yeah... it'll make their lives harder. Anybody looking to buy tickets at the game has to worry about how they'll even get onto the property in the first place.
I just sent mine in, another fucking shakedown. Hopefully this year they will lose some of the no-neck retards who funnel everyone down to one lane. Nevemind that there's vast space in the middle of swampland, everyone down to one lane. Tools.
Yep Woody has increased his revenue if somebody goes to the game because U R not going but U do not give them the permit that person has to ante up $15.00 so Woody has ur money & ur friends money. Neat scheme to make more $$$$$ off the NYJ fans
Looks like that hotel across the road, where I sometimes parked with a buddy, will be even that much more popular. In most cases, we'd prop up the gate or follow another car in to the office lot which is adjacent to the hotel. I can only imagine that it's going to be even tougher to find a spot now.
It's going to be insane, Koz. People have been parking all along the shoulders of the highways as it is now. I usually try to get to a 1PM game by no later than 11AM to park where I want. Now, even with the prepaid parking pass, I'm going to have to get there by 10 or 10:30.
They will have shuttles from the old age homes leaving every 20 minutes. EMS will be available in Lot A.
Leisure Village in Toms River will be offering large-screen simulcast for those who don't want to make the trip anymore. Prepaid wheelchair parking is only $5 per game and earphones for the hearing impaired is free with this package. Additionally, the Giants are providing on-site Human Resource Specialists at extra charge to keep Giants fans abreast of the game who either don't have a clue or who fall asleep frequently. They plan on periodically announcing the score and who the opponent is. For an additional charge they'll even announce a play-by-play description, what time it is, and where you are.
