Sanchez looked like shit tonight OL or not. His pass was dumb as dirt. Having said that any one who still defends Shotty is out of his/her mind. Worst offensive performance in a long long time. We sucked the BIG one
Agreed. Sanchez isn't some undrafted backup. He was a top 5 pick 3 years ago. He needs to be able to take this team and put them on his shoulders when injuries happen. He has plenty of weapons (Burress, Holmes and Keller) and help (a solid defense).
Wow what an incredibly riveting argument. It's not like there can't be any other level of O-Line play besides impenetrable and a turnstile.
funny how during the pre season McElroy was getting props for being tough and making plays while getting his ass handed to him but every excuse get thrown out for pussy ass Sanchez
It's split blame. The line is pitiful, but this kid has the decision making ability of a god damned pop Warner kid. He looked terrible out there. He should be ashamed of himself.
I am sick of people baby sitting Sanchez. Face reality people, he is at complete fault for 2 of the 3 Ravens Defensive TD's. Sanchez has to scope the field, Ed Reed was at the line of scrimmage from the minute the JETS got to the line. How the hell do you not look at that. How do you not account for the Ravens #1 play maker. To make things worse, it was a 2 step quick look. So that ball should have been out right away. I won't even get into his pick 6. Sanchez misses open receivers consistently. I will say it again, we cannot win a superbowl with the arm of Sanchez. He needs a great defense, great running game so he only has to throw it 15-20 times a game.
Agreed. At the very beginning of the game I said to my husband "Great... he already has that fucking look on his face. Here we go...."
It was also only his second sack since 2004. Ed Reed is a great playmaker, but not on safety blitzes. It was an absolutely brilliant defensive playcall.
mark sanchez sucked tonight, the oline sucked tonight, rbs sucked tonight, blocking sucked. end of story basically.
there is nothing... There is nothing more demoralizing to a team that when your QB turns the ball over RIGHT AFTER your defense has just made a big play. Tonight was the 2nd week in a row Sanchez made a HUGE error right after a big play by the jets defense. Yeah, yeah the O line stinks but even a 3 and out and Folk could have cut it to a 7 point game. Sanchez throws it to the other team and now we're down 17 and the game is over for all intents and purposes. The jets seriously need to address QB in the offseason by signing a vet to compete with Sanchez. Brunell is not the answer. Let's quit pretending--Sanchez has more INTs than touchdowns, he never feels the rush and fumbles often, and the jets made it to the conference title game the last 2 years in spite of, not because of, him.
