Sit down Uggla, that was a strike.

How can they not have anyone up in the bullpen now? If Baker gets on base you might very well want to bring in a RHP.

Ollie with the tremendous outing. PLEASE don't blow this for him, bullpen.

And his spot's up next inning. That works out nicely...Wish I could be watching. I really think firing Peterson has made a huge difference for Ollie and Pelfrey.

You could make a case for Pelfrey but Peterson was the one that turned him around last year after some awful pitching.

wow, schneider can't go 1st to 3rd on a weak ground ball single to right. guess we're going to need two hits to get him in here.

not even wrights 1.200 OPS against lefties can overcome the mets bases loaded awfulness

Yeah, but Ollie has really taken it up a notch, hasn't he? I remember in the past month or two big games against the Yankees, Phillies, and tonight that were significant. Maybe Peterson started that though...In any case, I think the change has helped Pelfrey for sure.

Heilman with the dominant 6-out save.

Mets back in second place. Phils-Pirates still 0-0 in the bottom of the 8th.

If Omar Minaya trades Daniel Murphy in the off-season to make room for Fernando Martinez, I am going to blow a major head gasket. Oh wait, Omar you are right, we probably do need another 3rd string catcher and washed up middle reliever.

Isn't Murphy a second baseman by trade? Maybe he's our answer there, assuming the Mets don't mind eating the rest of Castillo's god-awful contract.

EDIT: Nevermind, I guess he was a THIRD baseman in the minors (listed by both Yahoo! and the Mets' official website). Probably his future isn't there anyways unless Wright and his scattershot arm get moved to the outfield.

Stokes through 5 with only the one mistake. Would really like some more runs.
