Quick replied to the wrong post! sorry. Im running my shop and the phone rings all the time. Stop, Look, and listen. once again sorry but my oppinion stands on Jmac!
There is no doubt that we should keep J-Mac. The way Penny softly throws the ball down the middle, I'm sure that Coles or Cotch will eventually get hurt and this guys is a great insurance policy.
I liked McCareins when he was with Tennessee - and welcomed him to NY. Yes, he made his mistakes/drops and was in the doghouse, but how can you not respect a guy who (instead of complaining "I want out") worked his way back into the good graces. I hope he's one of our Captains this year!
One thing i like about Jmac is that He wants to be a Jet; he really enjoys being a part of this team. That speaks volumes!
Im not "pro or con", just curious: The Jets would not talk to Kendall because "The Jets do not re-negotiate on a contarct after only two years. That would set a bad precident". But....we seem more than capable of renegotiating any contract at any time if it means a pay cut for the player. I guess it's just business.
I don't remember seeing that quote come from anyone but Kendall. I don't buy it. Even if it had a basis in truth it's more likely to be "the Jets don't re-negotiate at the player's request one year into a multi-year deal".
So did we save money on JMac, but promise him a roster spot in 2008? And if so, what will he cost that season?
