Once again Willie pulls Glavine WAY to early. Sosa will blow it. You saw how pissed Tommy was when he saw Willie comming out.

What a ridiculous comment by Darling. Look at the numbers, Ron - Mota and Schoeneweis have been horrible all year, Joe Smith was terrible in his last month, and Wagner was awful in August. The problem isn't perception - it's performance.

Speaking of performance, Sosa does a great job.

Wow, Keith just articulated one of the most basic sabermetrics principals - strikeouts are worse than other outs because if you hit the ball you have a chance to get a base hit. This is the whole BABIP idea. Keith is a sabermetrician!

Lousy call on the strike and rabbit ears to then throw Alou out. Umpires nowadays really seem to be a lot worse than they used to be.

i held my tongue about green starting today because he was hitting like .600 against smoltz but how the hell do you leave him in to hit against a lefty there in an rbi spot in a 2 run game? awful managing.

Two possibilities: Willie doesn't like L-Millz as a pinch hitter, or Willie isn't paying attention.

It's most likely Willie isnt paying attention. THis has happened a few times this year where he totally misses a chance to do something like this. Remember when something like this happened earlier in the year and where we had to pinch-hit Glavine in the 9th inning of a game. I'm pretty sure Willie didnt know what was going on then either.

"Wagner has had a couple of hiccups in his last few outings" - Ron Darling.

In his last 14 appearances (including this one) Wagner has a WHIP of 2.38 and an ERA of 6.92.

    BRING IN FELICIANO!!!!
