I think he's very overrated and if the Mets had Alex Cintron at third base, they would have won just as much. In fact, if he was playing in Pittsburgh, no one would even know his name.
Just back from playing bball, and happy to see that the Mets won and Sosa did a big job. To this point, feel free to point to what you want, but IMO you'll be 100% wrong. Every game is worth exactly the same as every other game. There were at least two or three games that Randolph gave away in the first six weeks of the season by not doing all he could to win. I said it then, and this stretch has just reinforced it. Of course a manager needs to take into account that it's a long season, but within that context you do everything you can to win games in April, May, August, or September.
