    pelfrey should have started tonight

i dont CARE if he is suppose to pitch wedensday this is the biggest game of the season and we just lost it because brian lawrence and company cant hold a 4 run lead

while the nats are trying, and give two shits, the cardinals can care less and they are on vacation already, getting blown out of the water again

no one on the team knows what the hell they're doing in any facet of the game. the entire lineup will go up there hacking at garbage with a junkball pitcher on the mound. players don't know which base to throw to. meanwhile steamboat willie stands there looking stupid in his jacket.

before the september callups willie could claim poverty in the bullpen and being "forced" to use the trash that was on the roster but now he's got more arms and he refuses to use them.

I can't believe Willie Randolph is THAT BAD a manager that he would start Lawrence of all people. If the Mets crash and burn, point the finger squarely and directly at Willie Randolph.

I cannot believe this team wouldn't make the playoffs.

If I am horribly wrong, I may pack it in as a baseball fan as this Mets failure would be too much to deal with. I almost gave up the sport after the 1994 strike. I should have.

I thought Tom Glavine was going to suck this year and the Mets would still make the playoffs.
Well, he didn't suck and maybe the Mets won't make the playoffs. That would be a real slap in the face.

How friggin dare anyone out there make fun of The Mets after all they has been through. They Lost to the Phillies and went through a slump. THEY ARE HUMAN! What you don’t realize is that Mets are making you all this money and all you do is write a bunch of crap about Them. The Mets haven’t performed in a penannt race in years. You are lucky they even performed for you BASTARDS! LEEEAVE THE METTTSSS ALLLLLONE!…..Please. Wallace Matthews talked about professionalism and said if the Mets were professional they would’ve pulled it off no matter what. Speaking of professionalism, when is it professional to publically bash someone who is going through a hard time. Leave The Mets Alone! Please…. Leave The Mets alone…right now….I mean it. Anyone that has a problem with them deal with me, beacuse the are not well right now.

Such a pleasure to come home late from work and see that just as anyone with an IQ in double digits could have predicted, Lawrence was a joke and the Mets lost. The overall suckitude and lay-down-and-die attitude is just a bonus. Willie has been so exposed in the last month as a complete joke in the dugout. And guess what? Even if the team turns it around and pulls a 2006 Cardinals job that will still be the case.

Wow Phillies come from 11-0 down to cut it to 12-11

But Rowand just hit a homer to put the lead back up to two

Time for Maine to man up tomorrow. A dominant pitching performance can halt this garbage in its tracks and hopefully help some of the players remove their heads from their asses. Because Willie sure isn't going to do it.

I'm not yet at the stage of yearning for Art Howe, but Randolph is becoming more and more of a joke with every passing hour. Somehow all of those interviews that didn't lead to jobs are making a lot of sense now, aren't they?

Howe is a moron but I'm pretty sure from his record in Oakland that he'd be capable of doing what Willie is doing now, which is essential nothing. This whole fake zen master persona that Willie is trying to cultivate isn't fooling anyone. "Staying the course" is one thing, sailing the ship directly towards an iceberg insisting that it will all clear up is another.

I'm still beside myself about the "it was his day" comments from Randolph. The guy last pitched 10 days ago in the minor league playoffs. They skipped his "day" down there but Willie is going to pitch him in the majors because it's his "day". And doesn't want to use Humber in the bullpen because he's too young for that. But he couldn't have pitched last night because it wasn't his "day" Even though he's thrown like 10 pitches in the last 2 weeks..
