Yeah, but I still think the Phillies and Braves are too far behind the Mets. Also, keep in mind the Phillies and Braves will play each other 6 times in September and the Phillies have to play three games at Shea Stadium.
Don't worry Mets will win the division. Now whether or not they can win a WS is a whole different story but they'll get the chance to try.
Schoeneweis and Mota- 2007 Mets or Rodriguez- 2000 Mets Which was worse? Rodriguez did not pitch in the 2000 postseason. Hopefully, the same will be the case with at least one of the '07 turds.
Rodriguez by himself was probably the worst but when you combine Shoeneweis and Mota it's pretty close. Here's another brain teaser, if you could pick only one pitcher to get off the roster, who would it be?
id have to say Mota. Show has had success the past couple seasons, while Mota hasnt been good for awhile outside of his roid aided fun last year
Who doesn't have great career numbers against the Mets? Teams bring 50 year olds out of retirement and guys with ERA's of 800 in their last 10 starts in to pitch against the Mets and they shut them down. And if they do have a lead the bullpen blows it. The National League this year is really an embarassment to baseball.
4 hits for the Mets in the first inning (including a HR by Wright), but only 1 run so far thanks to Reyes getting picked off.
