no, but it did sort of end our softball game early. We were up 21-4 in the championship game, and it started coming down hard in the 7th, so the other team finally threw in the towel.

Surprisingly, they managed to get the whole game in at Shea before it started coming down really hard.

I love you. Mets just need to make a deal for another right handed bat to play left field or first base to back up Delgado and they have a shot. The Yankees lineup is scary, but need another strong starting pitcher.

Sanity strikes the Yankees? Ponson strangled a judge in Aruba and Cashman is thinking of signing Chacon who strangled his GM...according to some News reports.

horrible weather for it today, though. Started out ridiculously humid, with showers. Sun came out and was scorching for a bit, and then a massive storm hit.

Oh yeah, and it poured on Saturday for a bit so we had huge puddles around home plate.

No matter. Today was home run derby for us. Kept pouring it on, and the rain merely increased the torrent.

So anyway, I was off the computer all weekend, and that's why I didn't post jonny.

As for the Yankees, I'm sick of Girardi. I've had it now. I don't give a flying rat's ass about what a pitcher has historically done to your lineup, you bat your best hitters every damn day. Don't pull this shit where Beteshit bats high in the lineup (F his homer, I still can't stand that schmuck). Christian and Molina in? Posada at first? Come on Joe.

Micromanagement was my big complaint with Torre, and it's now the same complaint I have with Girardi. The only difference is the side of the ball. We're getting very good pitching (Friday afternoon notwithstanding). It's this damn lineup that can't hit worth a damn. Then again, it's hard to expect anyone to get into a groove when the entire thing gets turned upside down every other day. The loss of Matsui is going to sting too.

Ugh, this team just makes me sick.

Well I'm happy about the "split" considering the pitching matchups...I just have 1 question...

Why the hell is Danilo Gallinari repping the Mets!?

I thought it was quite amusing that he read every name very well, until he said "Batting ninth, the pitcher, John Santana".

If the Yankees fans personally were the ones that allowed the homers, it's not surprising at all. None of them are major league caliber pitchers.
