they changed it but someone will call up but like i said, he's just going to tell you it doesn't count
I gave him 5 mins to see what his stance was on the game... After doing that Overly Sarcastic, Patronizing FG defense bit and then the caller calls up and calls him out on being sarcastic and Fatty says that it wasn't... that's enough for me. I don't care what his stance is because this guy has become the dumbest thing on radio......
Yeah, just keep trying. I've gotten through several times. I'd call in but I know his song-&-dance: interrupt you, ask you a loaded question, then cut you off the line.
typical francesa you make a good point, he interrupts and asks a retard question to you, and then when you try and defend yourself, goodbye! hand wave time!
Now he is saying no 9-7 team has WON the Super Bowl. Damn, he just said "last years Cardinals". There goes my call. I need something else to get at him at.
No one is asking Francesa to give the Jets credit. All we're asking is to stop the non sense of making excuses as to why we're not any good.
Francesa basically says he does it just to have fun and tweak Jet fans. I honestly think it's BS. He hates the Jets. He doesn't do this to the Giant fan base when they're good.
by the way, the Jets run would more impressive if they win the SB Jeff Garcia Tony Romo Brett Favre Tom Brady Jets would be Carson Palmer Philip Rivers Peyton Manning Brees/Favre
This will get him toungue tied ... Politely ask him ..."If a team is able to score a TD on a big special teams play, how much does that improve their chances to win the game?" I'm sure he'll tell you that statistically it increases the chances of winning by a few percentage points ... FYI ... from PRO FOOTBALL REFERENCE --- "Since 1978, teams that have a kickoff return for a touchdown win 52% of the time" Then ask him, if that's the case, how he could possibly give the Jets 0% chance of beating the Colts when they had already returned a Kickoff for a TD???
Ask Randy Moss the same question. Remember, Revis only shut him down because he had "help over the top." :breakdance:
 OK, now there's a guy who just called up saying "I'm a Jets fan longer than anybody." Bold statement. Anyway, Francesa has been ridiculous. I haven't read this thread, but I decided to tune in today when I went to the gym. Anyone with a human-sized ego would say "OK, I was wrong. This team is better than I thought. I'll eat some crow, you guys can call up and tell me how wrong I was for an hour, and then let's get back to our normal show." Instead, Francesa decides to take two tacks: A)The Jets got lucky. Colts let them in, people missing field goals, etc. [Of course there's been some luck. But listen you jackass, you have no business pointing it out, when you've been ripping on the Jets all season.] B)Bashing the Jets fanbase. They're ridiculous, they think the Jets are the greatest team ever, the Colts are a "very flawed 15-2 team", etc. He basically took all the most ridiculous positions any Jets fan ever took and combined them into "This is the Jets fanbase, people! They're raving lunatics! I'm the sane smart one here." Not that I'd really expect better from this jackass, but really...
and same old, same old. Anyone who calls up to try and criticize him getting shouted down, hand waved, and hung up on. It's not worth calling into the show. If he thinks you're going to criticize him, he's not going to let you get in more than two sentences.
Francesa is a fat windbag. A couple of weeks ago after the Jets beat the Bengals in the Wild Card Round he said if the Jets beat the Chargers then he would truly be impressed and have respect. So, there's old Walrus Boy sitting there on Mike'd Up on Sunday night with his angel food cake on the table and begins listing the five freak occurences that enabled the Jets to pull off the upset. Fuck him, he's a freak occurence. Just now, he's saying, "Bengals win was good, Chargers win was nice, now let's see what happens with Colts." No matter what feats the Jets accomplish he'll continue to spew his hateful drivel.
