What are you talking about? You're utterly clueless about football aren't you? What exactly was he supposed to do, bring in Tebow or McElroy?? You're kidding right? Listen genius, there's a reason both of those guys aren't on the team this year...they suck! Sanchez was our only option and he did the right thing by riding him as long as possible. In that Titans game the defense still gave us a chance to win! You're basically invalidating your own point about Rex being a bad coach right there. Just stop being a Jets fan, you're giving us intelligent ones a bad name... The whole "clown" bit is getting old and holds no water. At least his players love him and want to play for him and win for him. He's passionate and you've gotta love that. It's people like you I bet want Mangini back! Lol pathetic!
All this shows is that we don't have one single player who has any notoriety on the national level. Big mouth Rex, as a result of his frat boy shenanigans, is the only recognizable face the Jets have. A pretty sad commentary on the state of this franchise.
I think the one guy who pointed out how ESPN probably wanted a "Ryan versus Ryan" headline is most accurate. We're certainly not a team devoid of talent or recognizable names. Wilkerson, Cromartie, Geno, Mangold, ect... Though I didn't know outwardly showing some confidence and speaking one's mind constitutes "frat boy shenanigans". You probably don't have much reason to be confident, huh? Sorry buddy..
Why do we need that this isn't basketball. It's a team effort out there. Plus Rex is the only proven person on the team besides Mangold and Cromartie, but centers and CB's will never get national love
It actually doesn't show that at all. Rex has been the face of this team since his first press conference and that didn't change after two conference championship appearances. Your post is a pretty sad commentary on people being medicated for emotional issues.
Frat boy shenanagins? Not so sure about that, sounds like your arguing with emotion, the post above even used that word. Take a step back from your emotions for a second.
Where is the game thread discussion for this? I'm having a hard time being optimistic with this one I hate to say. I felt good about Tennessee (shows what I know) but the QB single-handedly gave the game away. Atlanta is in dire need of a win, I feel like if we don't turn the ball over once (and maybe force some of our own) we can win. We've been awful at both ends of the turnover game. So far we have 2 takeaways and 10 turnovers. Only Pittsburgh is worse so far. (how strange) With that being said, I am nervous about the Pittsburgh game as well. They are coming to our place winless off of a bye.
Atlanta's defense is horrible right now due to injuries, Steelers are looking bad as well, their o line is beat up and they have no running game. These are both winnable games. Geno needs to just manage the game and limit his turnovers to 1 or none and we can be in position to win these games.
That's just the way it is. Until the Jets get lucky and draft a franchise QB, Rex will be the face of the franchise.
I know the Steelers are really down right now but I just still have a feeling they'll come in and beat us. I can't imagine what Tomlin will say if thy go 0-5, but one step at a time. I didn't realize Atlantas defense is injured, still have a hard time seeing us winning and Im usually optimistic.
It's a team effort that thus far hasn't produced anything under Ryan. I find it hard to understand this blind devotion to a coach that hasn't won anything, is a lousy game manager, doesn't adjust in game, sucks at evaluating personnel especially on offense, and cares about one side of the ball, never mind his off field embarrassments. The infatuation with him by a contingent of jet fans is a mystery to me. I chalk it up to youthful enthusiasm for personality for he most part. The man has not proven to be a viable nfl head coach.
