You can't make a prediction on the basis of injuries. If we had done that nobody would've been all pumped up about 1999. Same thing with players not performing.

There is no reason to think this team won't win at least 10 games, as the above poster said.

Yeah you right with that, I do think this is a 10 win team, team has is too talented not to, i'm still trying to get rid of the smallest amount of Jet Pessimism that I have in my head from the past haha

He actually didn't "predicted" a 7-9... he just said he could see it happening.

I can see it happening to, agree that it's not very likely, but it's really not that hard... AFCE can win 3, NFCN can win a couple of games, AFCN could win another 3... that's already 8-8.
The ground and pound mentality is a recipe to win games by low margin, which is no guarantee that you'll win all the games you're supposed to win.

Besides, about making predictions on the basis of injuries, I agree.
We don't have injured players, so we shouldn't "guess" we'll have injured players.
    But about players not performing...
...we have at least a couple of players who we expect that they'll perform better than last season.... that's a whole different scenario... basically all the additions to the team.

That's why I also can see this team finishing anywhere from 7-9 to 13-3.
    Prediction? not in May.

most anticipated for me was when chanango valley high school cheerleaders (with 3 of my daughters on the squad) won the NYS cheer championship.

 Most anticipated season in sports history? Every Yankees season comes with higher expectations than this Jets season. Same with the Cowboys, Steelers, Packers, well have the NFL. This is only big for Jets fans right now really. I am pumped though.

That brilliant playoff run has helped us to forget the maddeningly inconsistent team the Jets were in the regular season. Missing the playoffs was a real possibility going into those last two weeks.

While we all hope for and, to some degree, expect progress from key people this coming year, there is no guarantee. A sophomore slump from Sanchez and more injuries for Greene could see us with a similarly inconsistent offense and then even that defense might not be enough to keep us in the hunt for the playoffs. It almost wasn’t last year.

I’m not saying this is what I think will happen, but it is a possibility.
