he may be the only person to post so much in a teams game thread while his team is playing...I know Cakes you're a huge baseball fan outside of the Mets. Hah.

The Mutts are havin' the exact same type of performance. And the first batter in history of Citifield went yard. I can see why Cakes would rather rub salt in our wounds.

You are probably right. I just don't think he's a very good pitcher. The opposition has caught up to him. That delivery he had was extremely annoying to watch on TV and it was probably very tough on hitters his first two years in the AL.

I am actually watching both games. I have issues with the Mets. I can't believe they are wearing a patch which reads, "Inaugural Season 2009", as if to say 1962-2008 was a different franchise.
Also, the Angels don't play tonight.

It was actually tit for tat. Go see Drew and Jake laughin' it up in the Mets thread. Check the time stamps, too, if we're going to be babies about this and say things like, "He started it" and "He's in our game threads. Get him out, Mr. Moderator Sir."

You pull the same act every year, and you've even been warned for it. Yet you still come back...I think its comical honestly.

Put Wang on the DL tomorrow just so I can feel better about his pathetic 2 starts.

Yeah, it had nothing to do with having a ridiculous amount of movement on a 93-94 mph sinker.

He's got one of the best sinkers in the league. second only to Webb (or maybe third, behind Carmona, too).

Wang lives and dies by that pitch. If it's flat, or if he can't locate it, he'll get lit up. The extra day of rest usually doesn't help him.

If you want to make comments about it, that's fine. But Drew and Jake? C'mon, dude. Considering what they did in the Mets thread, it's hilarious that they got bent out of shape in this thread because of what I wrote.

MisterMoss said I can post in these threads if I make "baseball" comments and that has been done tonight, so you'll have to get used to it.

it's not anywhere near as good as webb's or Lowe's for that matter, but he's always going to be an inconsistent pitcher because he is such a 1 pitch guy, it's like wakefield on the Red Sox, if the knuckleball is good he's amazing if it isn't he gets lit up, same for wang with the sinker, idf it's good he has a great game, if it's mediocre he doesn't, if it's bad he isn't getting out of the 4th

Webb pitches in the NL, so you could say Wang has the best sinker in the league if you are so inclined.

I suppose, although in the context of these yearly thread battles...nevermind. It's dumb. Look, I'm going to appear in Yankees threads from time to time this year. I was going in this one because I was turning on YES because I couldn't stomach looking at those ridiculous patches on the Mets sleeves anymore. By the way, I didn't even post in the Mets-Reds series thread and only made a token appearance in the Mets-Marlins threads. Two of the Mets thread regulars are tough to take.

So, at this point, it's between Pavano and Wang for worst start so far this year? Kris Benson got smashed, too.

Cakes loves to troll threads when baseball starts up. If you dont want to hear his commentary, do yourselves a favor and ignore him. Like all trolls, eventually they will go away.
