Our crowds have been great throughout the 90's and 2000's, yesterday was a sellout as well otherwise the game probably wouldn't have been broadcast on TV. Just watching it on TV, the crowd seemed more subdued than usual. What I don't get is those early leavers, why would you leave early, even by two minutes? You pay so much money, there are only 8 home games...stick around maybe you'll see something incredible (like the colts play)

Does anyone actually beat the traffic if they leave with 4 or 5 minutes left? You would have to go earlier than that.

I had to get married on short notice, we picked the weekend around a Jets road game, since we were doing it in Vegas.

You have to beat the initial rush out of the stadium, no matter what time you leave. Sometimes staying an Extra 30 seconds can cost you a half hour.

My Fiance wanted to get Married in October. I said no way! The only possible weekend close would have been the bye week in November.

Given the choice I'd have avoided football season altogether, but as I mentioned time was a factor. Now I have an anniversary weekend usually in Week 2 or 3 of every season, but my wife is a fan and goes to the games with me, so it's easy to work out. Wouldn't have married her at all otherwise.

I've been to roughly 110 games total, and 56 consecutive. [Season Tix since '96]

I haven't left one before 0:00. NOT ONCE.

It bothers me too. Sure, you paid for your ticket, it's your right to do as you wish, but stick around for THIS team, a gritty bunch of dare I say, overacheivers? (Maybe on offense.)

If you're going to show up, might as well stick around and be supportive, no? Hell, look at the hot flag girls or something if you're that disgusted with the team.

In defense of fans, Allen's 30000 estimate is a bit high. Maybe if you total up every fan that wasn't there anymore at the end of the game, it would total 25-30000, The post-Leon ditch wasn't THAT bad.

But it's never that way, the only team that has enough fans to pack the stadium are Cowboy fans and we rarely play them at home. Usually it's just Jet fans, our opponents and rivals (Patriots, Colts, Dolphins, Bills etc) don't have national followings.

Yeah after Leon's 2nd TD alot of people got up to where other Jets fans yelled at them "Yeah go and leave, somebody must of sold you their tickets."

MM and I stayed the whole game, and when Chad did the 1st kneel down is when we started to begin our walk...

After the last kneel down the clock stayed at 0:07 for a long while, it was still that way as we walked up the aisle. What was that about?

Champ, do you think that you are superior in some way, because you are the oldest geezer on this board? Do you somehow think that just because you have watched the jets since 65, that you can bash them every season? You are like a bad beat writer who secretly hates his job, his life, his wife and covering the jets. See you are not a real fan, a real fan sticks up for his team, when they are 4-12 or 3-13. We defend all the POSITIVES to other teams fans, and perhaps even fight for out team. Not You though, you put down Vilma even though he has a good game, you put down Mangini even though he had not even coached a game. And now its going into week 8 and even though we are 4-3, have already won the predetermined 4 games we were "supposed" to win, and you are still finding negatives. Honestly, you should just jump on the cardinals, cause they haven't done shit since they came into this league. Or how about the Texans, there a pretty shitty team that could use some your negativity. The point is that no one likes you, I dont like you, the other people on this board dont like you, and if any of the Jets players ever read this board, they wouldn't like you either. So just do the everyone a favor and move to Arizona..............

All I said is we need closers & usually the DE & MLB are those guys. If you are angry that presently we do not have those guys take out your anger on the FO or players involved. If you do not understand what I am saying send me a PM for a further explanation

Not just this post...every post you make either is bad about the jets, or belittleing another poster. Name one time you actually started or supported anything positive on this board? Who would you rather have as an owner by the way?

I do not want to start any real trouble, but you say that championjets69 is not a real fan. I know he does not need me to defend him but the the fact that he cares enough about this team to voice his opinion proves otherwise.

By the way, I bet you are not old enough to even fathom the suffering a fan like him has gone through over the years.

Thats my point, If you are suffering, why make everyone else suffer with you. No im not 50 years old, and Ive only had to watch the jets go 3-13 and 1-15. But I try to find the bright spots. If all you do is criticize and complain, why would anyone want you around

These who are the "real" fan posts happen every couple of months and are kind of silly. If someone on this site really bothers you use the ignore feature and the problem goes away....

I don't get the "beat the traffic" mentality. I doubt these people have somewhere important to be on a Sunday evening.

Actually, as a fan all of us have the right to say what we feel about the team. Be positive all of the time, or negative all of the time, it doesn't matter.

I don't have a problem with champ criticizing the team. IMO, he is entitled to. Do I agree with his opinion? Hardly ever. However, I do have a problem with his belittling just about everyone that disagrees with him. If he stopped doing that, people probably wouldn't respond in hostile tones to his posts like they do.
