We're going to be still in it late. That Jets-Cincy game is probably going to matter a lot in the playoff race. Beat New England. That's the simplest thing we can do. Assuming we get by Jacksonville, which won't be easy, but it's a game we should win, beat the Patriots, and we're 6-4 and looking at a not-so-difficult schedule coming up.
Nothing Else Matters this Year Except for Sanchez's Continued Development! Has anyone informed the rest of the team about this? Does Sanchez even know about this prime directive? And don't forget to tell Kris Jenkins and Leon Washington.
What really maddened me about the first half was that we had just come away with a win against an inferior team by just running the damn ball down their throats. The Dolphins were not showing us that we could not just do that again. If they shut down the run, then fine you have to throw the ball at that point, but they were not shutting down the run. Somebody on the Jet's coaching staff just does not get what job one is this year. If they did then everything would be predicated on the Jets winning games with Mark Sanchez at QB and not predicated on Mark Sanchez being the reason the Jets are winning games with him at QB. He's a rookie. Take the ball out of his hands until events force you to put it there.
Before the season started you would have put a w next to the bills game and at least oone of the dolphins games. The jets love to loose to at least one team these should beat late in the season.
first of all, if you read what you just posted, you'll see what i mean about you being a moron...jeez, stay in school brother
It hurts knowing that had we simply won that game yesterday we would be so much more in the mix of things. I havent quite thought about this, tried to shut it out of my mind, but every once in a while it comes to the surface and i get very upset. Damn....
As long as Sanchez can contiune to get better and get the right chemistry with his WRs Braylon, Keller, and Jerricho like Peyton has with Reggie Wanye, Matt Ryan with Roddy Whitee etc we will be fine next year
I agree... the only chance we have of making the playoffs is winning the next 5... but after that playing Falcons, Colts and Bengals is no easy task. But I've always thought of this as a season to develop Sanchez and Ryan...
Rookie head coach. Rookie qb. Would anybody bet their home at the beginning of the season that they would be better than 9-7 or 8-8? Next year they come in with a "seasoned" Mark Sanchez, Edwards, Cotch, Keller, top offensive line and a top defense after playing Rex's D for one full season. AND Rex has to learn that he must have a voice in the offensive game plan and special team strategy. He was not hired to coach only 1/3 of the team.
