Not a big loss at all...hopefully this stupid franchise now realizes, especially after this season, that there's never a reason to even draft a kicker nonetheless in the 2nd round. There are always guys out there like Feeley who can get the job done

John Hall was my favorite Jets kicker.

Nugent epitomizes why this franchise hasn't won squat since 1969. Unless your kicker's name is Ray Guy or someone of that ilk, no way do you pick a kicker or punter that high. That was a Bradway mess up BIG TIME

A close second would be Jim Turner, but Leahy was the best.

I never trusted Leahy either. I remember him blowing short FGs against NE and others. Don't go just by stats. Turner on the other hand was the man.

Leahy was erratic as hell and wasn't good from long range. He took us out of the running in 1978 by missing a chip shot vs the Pats, cost us home field in 1982-83 by missing an extra point and FG in Miami, killed us over the years. It's amazing to me he kept his job for so long.

why sign a 40 year old kicker who can't kick anything past 45 yards? Feely is a top flight kicker who i think deserves to keep his job

he was a liability on kickoffs. he barely reached the endzone. i think he was a good FG kicker, but his leg wasnt strong enough to get touchbacks.

I still remember blowing a blood vessel in the bar when that pick happened. A kicker? A fucking kicker? For real?
