I wish I could be optimistic, but I can't. To be honest Hockey is my biggest sport, football is second. I have been in a bad mood all day. The Ranges give me no reason to believe they can win game 6.
Ive been in a foul, foul mood all day. Snapping at my kids and shit. So fuckin stupid. But I cant help it. Ive been randomly screaming " cunt" all day
well, then i'll be enjoying this day off for the both of you to counteract the disappointment. i'm not happy about it either, but they are not done.
Again, for some reason, I am very confident that the Rangers will win Game 6. I have no idea what would happen in a potential Game 7, but I believe this team will win Game 6
I guess as the raw reaction is tapering off as the day is going on, I'm starting to feel a bit more rational about Game 6. I wouldn't say I'm confident that they'll come out and win it but think about what a reversal of fortunes that game would mean. With a win, it would go from doom and gloom to having the momentum of a win and coming back home for Game 7. I know it sucks right now, but it really just starts with one game. They're not down 3-0, it's not an insurmountable task. LET'S GO.
How do you figure? Devils have won two games in your building. They've already won a Game 7 on the road this year in the playoffs. If last night didn't prove they can handle adversity, idk what to tell you. Having said that I really don't want to have to tune in on Sunday, and I think any Devils fan has to be able to admit that if they play on Friday like they did last night, that's exactly the situation we'll be in.
The last thing I would call a Game 7 is having the Devils on the ropes. Would the Rangers have to feel confident coming home to a raucous crowd and coming off a do-or-die win -- of course. As a fan, you'd have to feel great after coming back from the dead and having the game in your own barn but it would still be a bit of a toss-up. However, I will say a Game 7 in Florida is really only a Game 7 in the elementary sense. You were talking about the greatest team on earth, nor the most intimidating place to play. But a win was a win.
and if the rangers win tomorrow , they will have won 2 in your building. i guess i'm just someone who doesn't quake and bow down when my team is not in a good spot. they've surprised me all year, and i have a lot of hope that they can do it again. it's really that simple with me.
I think I need to find my 1994 CCM Ranger "White Home Jersey" when I get home. Yes, it got some blood stains from street hockey on it, but it's like a fucking magic cloak. It might put the juju on the Devils.
And that's exactly why you don't see me saying the Devils have the Rangers on the ropes. The fact is, Friday's game will be played after the Rangers had their best and the Devils had their worst game on the series. By the same token, I really don't think the Devils would be on the ropes going into a Game 7 situation. They were on the ropes at 3-3 last night after blowing the lead. But at the start of a game? No I think they certainly have a shot in any Game 7 especially after they blew a 2-0 lead in a Game 7 on the road and were able to pull it out. Both teams have an incredible amount of heart.
there are no illusions going on here with the situation the rangers have themselves in, it's fairly bleak, as the devils have shown me that they have been the better team overall so far, but 4 games have not been won yet, and that's all. they have their skates on the rangers necks, and they best get it done tomorrow or i feel it's going to be trouble for them if they don't.
I still think this team can win two in a row. I don't expect it at this time but I haven't written it off yet. The Devils got a little payback for the crazy stops made on them earlier in the series in game 5. We have now seen both teams pull out wins when severely outplayed. Game 6 is a toss up in my mind.
