I'm with you. I think the Devils-Rangers series will be inevitable as well. Not a bad roll of the dice I suppose. If the Rangers do draw the Devils in the second round (SHOULD BOTH TEAMS MAKE IT, don't want to hurt anyone's feelings) I'm looking forward to most likely being able to go to a game or two in Pru because I have a nice hookup there.
Heh. Good job, but.... no. I've made mention in the last month or so about how pleased I am with the way that the Senators have outperformed all expectations. Still, whatever works for you. FWIW, the Rangers determine how this series goes. Allow the Senators to play their run and gun style as the Rangers did in at least two of the four regular season match ups and you've got problems, because we have a fast, potent offense that wants to get into an open, flying game of hockey. Control the puck, clog centre ice, stop the fast passes from the blue line into Spezza and force the game to the boards, and you'll win comfortably. The big mistake too many teams have made is going after Karlsson. The key to stopping Ottawa is stopping Spezza; given he's the fourth highest point scorer in the league this season he gets fuck all credit. The Ottawa defence is shaky and Anderson is an inconsistent goalie, so pressuring the blue line and preventing them moving the puck is the way to destroy the Senators' game plan. I think this is going to be a cracking series and I'll be cheering for whoever wins it to go deep. I like the Rangers and I like the way they play, and I think you'll find that most Senators fans feel the same way. You can get yourself all worked up about this series if you like, but it's a one way thing if you do.
Sens are shit, NY is going to show you maple syrup eating mofos whats up! I kinda agree with you on the Spezza comment. I think this series is won on the play of the king, and the Rangers 3 line grinders. Rangers game is tuff and physical, we play that style Sens are bowing out in 5.
Tough and physical isn't necessarily a problem for Ottawa, our side is huge and we have some very physical players. Where you have a significant upper hand is combining that physicality with hockey smarts; the likes of Greening, Zack Smith and Cowen are very inexperienced and a well drilled, well organised team can consistently put them into situations where they're at a disadvantage. Get into a run and gun game with us where it's predicated on speed, puck movement and shooting and we'll give anyone a good game, but frustrate the younger players into making naive errors and put the older ones into situations where they don't have the pace for recovery - that's how you beat us. In the regular season the Rangers stood off Ottawa too much and gave them too much time and space with the puck, I don't expect them to make that mistake again and it will be down to Ottawa to find ways to keep the puck moving.

Less than 2 hours until I head to the Poughkeepsie train station to go down to Grand Central. Hockey games at the garden are special so I can't wait to expierience playoff hockey there for the first time. I'm in section 304 tonight, anyone gonna be near me?
Ottawa's forecheck has been superb....pretty lazy effort by the Rangers til that TO. Ummmm I found someone worse than Dubinsky in the NHL. UNfortunately hes also a Ranger. AA is complete garbage
He has zero skill. But Anisimov may be more useless. Ottawa's D smells and thir goalie is suspect......thats why I said angers in 5
