But the league is owned by the other owners they greatly benefit from the jets sucking. We were still like 2nd in attendance last year and a cash cow why would they care and not be loving this?
Snyder was making money too but the PR pressure got to be too much to bear even for the greedy Owners Club. They stepped in and forced Snyder to sell and until Woody or Brick fcks up to that level, don't look for it to happen again anytime soon.
snyder was being sued for sexual harassment and involved in a lot of crazy shit had nothing to do with him being a crappy owner, not to get political but unless they find woody in the Epstein files or something crazy there is no way the league forces him to sell this team. But it would be crazy if woody passes say in the next couple years and you have a 25 year old trust fund baby running this team.
Again, it was the PR pressure. Jerry Jones got caught but he had too much pull with the Owners to pay any price for his indiscretion. They wouldn't force Woody to sell, but they owe nothing to Brick so, there's our opportunity and it just might be our last.
Yes agreed but highly unlikely and wishful thinking lol, than wishful thinking would be that brick squanders the family fortune and is forced to sell the team which is also a possibility when you never had to do manual labor a day in your life and had everything handed to you on a silver platter.
Snyder wasn't a certain someone's campaign finance manager. Even if Woody was doing Snyder things, he wouldn't be going anywhere in the near future.
Johnson has seen his $635 million investment increase in value by $7.5 BILLION in 24 years. This is addition to the walking around money he has earned every year. Don't lose any sleep over Johnson going broke in the football business.
It has nothing to do with us. The question about what will happen to Jets ownership when Woody dies is one for the executors and trust administrators. Brick is one of four surviving children of Woody. No reason for anyone to get all crazy here making unfounded claims about what will go down when the old man does.
The NFL should make a rule where if you miss the playoffs for a certain amount of years you should be forced to sell 51% of your team. Obviously it will never happen because the owners would never approve. Owning a NFL team is probably one of the few businesses where you can do a horrible job and still be highly profitable due to the league as a whole dragging poorly run teams like the Jets up.
we could do relegation like they do in the UK. The Jets get send down to the XFL and the San Antonio Brahmas get promoted to the NFL. That honestly would be pretty cool and make it a lot easier for fans to abandon worthless organizations like the Jets
