Jets | Pennington feels good after preseason opener Sat, 12 Aug 2006 07:55:03 -0700 Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets QB Chad Pennington completed his first five passes and 9-of-14 overall for 54 yards in the team's preseason opener Friday, Aug. 11. There were concerns whether Pennington re-injured his shoulder in the game, but Pennington acknowledged afterwards that he is fine. "Good," Pennington said when asked how he felt. "It was fun to get back out with my teammates. I missed that feeling. It was a lot of fun. It was bittersweet that we didn't put it in the end zone."
Was the play he was hurt on the last play he was in the game for? Did he throw after that? (Besides the sideline)
Exactly. Especially with a "home run threat" in the running game, the type of offense Pennington runs is never going to have sustained success in the NFL. No team is going to be able to consistently put up 15+ play drives with a bunch of 3rd down conversions, it just doesn't happen.
Penninton is NOT INJURED, i taped the game and watch the hit over and over. after that hit, he got up fine and when he was on the ground they did a close up on his face and he wasnt winicing or holdin his shoulder or anything, and if he was hurt or if he thought he was hurt during the game he wouldnt have been on the sidelines marking down stuff on a clip board in the 3rd quarter. Pennington is fine, no need to get all worked about it people.
