im 100% wrong? arrogant much? you are beating a dead horse...they wont trade for 2 second rounders this year....that wont happen, it would be as boneheaded as signing Welker for a 2nd rounder...which is the point everyone is trying to make to you...this argument is pointless because you just dont get it...
It is your opinion that giving up a second round for Welker is a bad move. There are plenty of people including Adam Shefter who would disagree. Given the second round pats pick last year (Chad Jackson) sitting on ir all year they might disagree. They also have two first rounders which gives them many more options. There are people on this site trying to claim the pats getting Adalius Thomas was "no big deal", or they would rather have " Joey Porter". Lol at that one! The facts are this contract talk is pure speculation. There is no contract so until there is saying he is overpayed is stupid. Until you see him play for the pats and see how he fits in it is also dumb to speculate he will do nothing. Given his numbers in the hell hole known as Miami common sense would say otherwise. He also KILLED the patriots when he played him. If you do not agree a second round pick is a good deal for him fine, but some of you need to become gm;s in the nfl since Pioli is Belichick are apparently complete morons. You might as well call our own coach a moron as he is part of that click. I love how the pats still have 9 million in cap space, are filling legit viods in there team and they are "desperate". Not they feel Welker has a lot of upside for them. The kicker is there is not even a freaking contract and people are claiming he is signed, lol. I stopped being delusional last year when they kicked the shit out of us in the playoffs. I call it like I see it, and I am sorry if I offended anyone. This is jut my opinion
The Pats are making very poor decisions of late. They just guaranteed in the neighborhood of 20 million to a 30 year old linebacker, something which they now have four of. Welker is a nice player but that's an obscene contract. The guy hasn't even touched 1,000 yards and Tom Brady has shown he can get it done with castaways. The Dolphins would be wise not to match. I'm upset that the Jets didn't land some of the guys I thought they could have sensibly added(Aubrayo Franklin, Steinbach) but when I see the size of these contracts being doled out I'm glad they're not doing anything stupid either. -X-
I'm sure they looked really hard at Franklin. My guess is they thought he'd be no better than D-Rob and there was no reason to pay him 6 million over the next 3 years unless he was guaranteed to be on the field.
