I was not very high on Harvin being a No. 1 WR in the NFL, so I'm glad we were not able to make a move to get him.
I'd like to imagine that the Jets threw out this rumor to force New England's hand, maybe make them cough up some picks for the player they wanted. I don't know. I can understand why Brian Schottenheimer wanted Harvin; he seems like exactly the kind of weapon Scott likes. (I think BS likes innovation more than victory). But it seems to me that if Rex Ryan could have had a big bruiser back like Greene or a shifty pseudo-slash like Percy Harvin, he would have chosen Greene.
