he has an incentive based contract - one incentive was $200,000 per game played in. So if he took a snap in a game he made $200,000. He made $100,000 per play today. Feel horrible about the injury though. He would probably make a solid coach if he wanted to go that direction.
With Pennington and Henne both gone for the season we have to worry they might actually find a QB out there now.
Chad Pennington is the reason I got into the NFL and the NY Jets. That 2002 season was absolutely majestic. Having said that, the guy needs to retire before he kills himself. I hope he retires with our team.
This was eerily reminiscent of 2005, when Chad tore his rotator cuff. Ex-Dolphin Jay Fiedler came in and dislocated his shoulder. Both were out for a while, like what happened today. Thus began the brief Brooks Bollinger era.
It's a shame, the man just doesn't have a body that is made to w/stand the punishment of NFL hits. When healthy he was one of the best, it's probably time to call it quits and start coaching.
