I was sitting around some Texan fans at work here in H-town watching the game and like most of you I just sank in my chair figuring the worse -- But when Chad raised those arms up I did the same much to the chagrin of the folks arond me -- just b4 KO I went to my car and donned my Penny jersey just for laughs and to of course to show my loyalty -- awesome performance all around and our defence is no longer a joke -- Lets hope yesterdays game is a big springboard for the rest of the season -- 2 more wins and we guarantee a .500 finish which most fans and so called experts never expected

VEWY VEWY VEWY REWARDINK -- i hate those commercials

Flipping off the Texans is kind of like kicking away a cripple's cane.

    Ahhh good times yesterday.

I remember when Chad first went down I fretted and was in a state of shock. I was like "OH GOD!". But there was no need to fret in the end, as Chad got up and pumped the crowd. When he did that, I got chills. Great moment to see him do that and to see the crowd backing him up. I was pumping my fists too.

Loved to see Chad pump up the crowd

I've been critical of Pennington since his second surgery, and I still believe that his arm will cost us games here and there. That said, I absolutely LOVED how he handled the whole situation yesterday after he was hurt. And as I watched him pumping his fist and waving for noise, I realized we haven't seen that fire from him in a while. He really needs to be more animated. Jets fans really like him, and want him to succeed (well, most ofus, anyway). He needs to be more 2002, with the head butts and the crowd rousing. Say what you want about him, but his moxie makes him dangerous even when his arm doesn't.

I made a thread about this a year or so back I think. Chad rarely has the same intensity he did as in 2002. Peyton Manning is always intense, and Tom Brady is too. Maybe if he just had more intensity the arm wouldn't be a problem either, but I dunno. A fire has been lit under Nugent after he made a hit, maybe something happened with Pennington too? He was fantastic yesterday.

I was glad to see that attitude from the coaching staff. Showing they're not scared of anyone, the go for the throat attitude. It is an attitude that has long been missing from the Jets, and I was damn happy to see it. Texans or not.

Well said, that was Chad working on pure emotion and not thinking so much. When he doesn't out-think himself he can be a very good QB. When he tries to overthink and force things he gets himself into trouble.

The over-thinking just may be the real issue with his consistency. More so than the arm. I am more willing to buy into that being the problem with his slide in games.

It was odd yesterday, he took the hit and afterward he got into a rythm passing the ball. He was certainly better in the 2nd half compared to the first.
