I like Kurt Warner, and if he had another 3 or 4 years left I'd take him. but he doesn't, and the Jets need to be focused on developing a QB that can lead them for 6-10 years, not just fall into the trap of continually searching and replacing QB's that mediocre teams always put themselves in.

I think whoever we bring in, it's not going to be to start. I see us giving Brett/Kellen every opportunity to win the job.

Green Lantern is closed-minded about Warner. Enough with the band-aids. At least Favre was a Johnson&Johnson brand Band-Aid as opposed to a 99cent store brand.
Warner is prone to concussions and fumbles, despite this season's accomplishments.
AND, without Larry Fitz making unbelievable plays all season - how far do the Cardinals get this year? Not to the Super Bowl, maybe not even to the NFC championship.

I concur on this, I do not think he is the answer

I agree with the previous posts saying no to him for the reasons already listed, the foremost being the turnover factor

See now, I believe Warner is a good QB, pretty damn good in the right system. He works well with the players in Arizona and would be nuts to leave. That said, Rex Ryan has stated he wants an "all weather offense". Basically, that means we are going to run the ball. Alot. Warner likes to throw, the coach wants to run.

    No fit!!!

In today's NFL, you try to win a title every year. I can't understand who wouldn't want Warner. It's simple to me. Is Warner better than the QBs the Jets have on the roster -- yes. (And he is automatically better than any QB they can draft.)

If he does want to come here and the Tanny is comfortable with the deal, then, to me, it is a no-brainer.

And for those who think his success is all about his WRs...couldn't yousay the same thing about P.Manning?

Warner has already openly talked about retirement. Screw these one or two year fixes, lets get him some stability at the QB position and let someone run the offense for a while. Enough with the QB carousel.

Remember the prosperous career of Daunte Culpepper after he lost Cris Carter, Jake Reed AND Randy Moss.

I Kind of like Warner but at this point in his career i think we should pass and go with Clemens or Draft a guy (Maybe Freeman or Sanchez)

Where the Hell is this coming from? Why would the Cards not bring him back? Seems like BS to me.

The difference between Favre and Warner is that, Favre will throw an INT for a turnover, while Warner will fumble the ball for a turnover. Different approach, but same result. Either way, PASS.

*For those who don't believe: Favre: 22 INT, 2 Fumbles for loss/Warner: 14 INT, 7 fumbles for loss - they are quite comparable when it comes to turnovers.*

I think Warner is a great Qb, and when he's able to stand in the pocket comfortably, he makes big plays with his arm. He's too old though, I think the last thing the Jets need, is another old Qb on the verge of retirement. Just my opinion....

How'd he work out for the Giants with their WR corps? Now he's just OLDER!
