Revis for Harvin and a 2nd makes sense. Harvins a game breaker and the the Jets loved him coming out of Florida

I'd be ecstatic with a straight up deal of Revis (in his current situation) for Harvin in a vacuum. I don't really know Harvin's situation, though, and if he's in a position where he's going to demand a big contract, that's a knock on his value just like it is on Revis'.

I did have a Vikings fan tell me that Harvin was put on IR this past season just to get rid of the headache. We already have too many Gator headaches.

That's exactly why I'd do the deal. It's a tough call and usually I wouldn't be for it. However Harvin is that good. He's easily one of the top playmakers in the league and only 24. We definitely need a big time playmaker on offense and he gives us that. His problems are mostly that he wasn't getting the ball enough and you really can't blame him because almost every time he touches it he makes something big happen. However he has AP on his team so he has no choice but to defer. The Jets don't have that problem. He would instantly become the face of our offense and the weapon that other teams fear.

i know wtf is wrong with this fan base, people wanna give Revis up for practically nothing. This would be the worst trade in NFL history this isnt madden, Its like asking the Colts to trade andrew luck for Clyde Gates

no it doesnt it makes zero sense at all. Anything short of a First round pick in any deal we make would be a travesty

Not really. Harvin got valued by an NFL personnel man as a 2nd or 3rd. Offer the picks for Harvin then get a 1st + additional picks for Revis.

Here's where I found that report by the way.

Harvin's a top 5 player at his position, it would hardly be considered a bad trade.

Clyde Gates, no. 1 receiver in history, for Andrew Luck psh yea right maybe for Luck AND the colts number 1 pick for the next 100 years... maybe.

I hope you mean Harvin is top 5 as a slot receiver, not overall receiver? No way is he top 5 overall as a WR unless I missed something?

I'm shocked by the people saying Revis for Harvin. Even if they add a second. Why not trade our second for Harvin, then trade Revis to another team for better picks? Makes perfect sense IMO.

to be clear,i think a team with a wr need should do it, this team is better off spending the pick on olb,ol,rb. all much bigger needs i.m.o.

however, since we turned the cap off in madden, holmes for harvin. straight up

I would definitely say he is top 10. As a slot receiver, I would say him Cruz and Welker are neck and neck. In terms of playmakers, he's one of the best in the NFL. A playmaker is something this offense is in dire need of.

Pulling off two trades like that is extremely hard. If we offer them Revis for Harvin and their 1st, I would say thats certainly fair. I think we would be lucky to get a 1st and 2nd or 3rd for Revis straight up and Harvin is definitely worth a 2nd or 3rd.

Theres plenty of guys in free agency to fill our WR void. Greg Jennings,Josh Cribbs,Danny Amendola etc, we will have money to sign atleast one good num 1 type WR threw free agency once some cap space is cleared and cuts are made

Let me clarify, Harvin is one of the most talented players in the league and I think he has top 5 wide receiver potential.

His career has been marked by injuries/misfortune/conflict. That would make anyone nervous about a long term deal so I can see both sides of the coin here.

Also vikes DB situation is fine, they won't want Revis. Their receiver corp is a mess, they're trading harvin because of internal issues. They know their not going to sign him so they'll be looking for draft picks to get value back.

this is insane if we could make a serious trade between revis and harvin. first off you guys are acting like holmes is with the team in 2 years, he won't be. what if hill doesn't pan out? kerley is good, but thats just it. he's good. harvin is a GAME CHANGER he is BETTER than all of our WRs. if you can take this trade you do it in an instant

I agree with you. If its Revis for Harvin and a 1st it would be fair. Would like it more if they threw in another 3rd or 4th though
