Would he rather go to Washington? And compete in the same division as his brother? Doubt it; but there are very few landing spots for him. I'd venture to say NYJ is the most appealing to him, because we have a good defense, something he never had, and he will get to prove to people twice a year at least that he is better than Brady.

Thats true, Peyton wouldnt want to be in the same division as his brother. I wouldnt mind seeing it though. I see the Skins getting RG3 tho.

So what other locations are their? the Seahawks? Dolphins? Browns?

Thats all I see right now...

I doubt he would go to Washington due to the wacky owner.

Personally I think that Peyton would relish the opportunity to play for the Jets. He supposedly has a ton of respect for Rex Ryan, he'd get to play in the biggest media market in the world, and he'd get 2 opportunities a year to stick it to Tom Brady.

I think it's a moot point because the Jets won't go after him even if he's available, but I have a tough time seeing Manning pick somewhere like Miami or Washington over New York if he had the choice.

Arizona is a good fit for Manning. Nice weather, a great WR (Fitzgerald), a nice young receiver (Roberts) and a good head coach. I heard that there is a way for them to get out of the Kevin Kolb contract.

If the Cards can get free of Kolb then that would be a great spot for him.

I really think that Tanny and Rex are going to sink or swim with Sanchez. This team has incredibly thin depth, I just don't see the Jets showing interest in the multiple high pick package that it would take to land Manning.

I heard a rumor somewhere that picks may not even have to be offered. They just want a team to take on his contract to help them clean cap space. Rumors are rumors for a reason though sometimes....

Arizona is probably the best mutual fit for Manning and the Colts. Out of the AFC so the Colts don't have Luck playing too much in Manning's shadow and to a team that is moderately competitive with good WR's for Manning to throw too.

I could see Manning pushing back the bonus date so that the Colts and the Cardinals have time to work something out. I'd guess the Colts wouldn't even need a huge deal to let him go in that circumstance. They'd just be glad he wasn't landing in the AFC South or West where he'd be a real threat to them next year.

Aren't they in the NFC championship? Doubt they go after him.

I'm not sure about the Cards either, I mean it would be like Colts version 2.0 for him. Bad defense and a decent offence.

I agree the Jets would be the best location for his intersts and our own. He wants to play somewhere he can win now, not later. The only piece we've needed to put us over the top is a slight improvement at QB (pass rush also but that hasn't been the make or break).

The truth of the matter is we do need to improve at several positions, but with a QB like Manning he makes up for so many inequities a team has. Case in point: the 2011 Indianapolis Colts, look how bad this team was this year on both sides of the ball.

that isn't true -- colts have 2 options release him before march 3 or 8th i believe...and owe him nothing...or keep him and owe him $37 million. Trade isn't an option because no one is taking that contract. Colts want cap space they just let him walk for nothing and he is free to go to the highest bidder or the best fit. Given no one will give him that much money he can maximize potential earning in NY...you win in NY you can milk that until you day. Just ask Joe Namath.

Heres another thing....imagine if little brother Eli won 2 rings. Peyton would be beyond jealous of him and would go for a 2nd ring without thought. If Peyton were to decide to go for lesser money so he can play for the best possible team it would be the Jets because the 49ers are out of the equation now.

Yeah! Could you imagine! Maybe in 40 years he could have his own radio show and needlessly chime in on every decision the Jets make. Unreal.

This is a really interesting point actually. Hadn't thought of it that way.

I did a google search of "Peyton Manning" and heres the first article that came up...havent read it yet but its about Eli and how Peyton will want to go to a Contender.

    http://www.rantsports.com/indianapo...-giants-he-may-consider-going-to-a-contender/

As an older brother you always want the best for your little brother. You want him to succeed, especially when you cannot for one reason or another.

Peyton Manning had his worst season as a professional quarterback this year. Watching from sidelines must have been torment. On top of that, seeing his team go 2-14 had to be one of the hardest pills to swallow. When the season ended Peyton could reflect on the year and focus on next season. He will start rehab on his neck and prepare for next season. As Peyton enjoys his off season he is paying attention to his little brother’s team, the New York Giants. This afternoon he watched Eli and the Giants knock the Packers out of the playoffs. I am sure Peyton is very proud and very happy for Eli. However, as Eli enters his second championship Sunday there has to be some part of Peyton that thinks, if Eli wins another championship it’ll be Eli two, Peyton one. As Peyton would be very happy for him, he will be even more focused to get back on the field. You never want your little brother to top you on anything.

Peyton Manning, at 35, knows his time is limited to make another Super Bowl run. As the decision regarding Peyton comes up in the Colts organization, he has to be thinking after going 2-14, that he is not the only missed factor with the team. The colts need more help than just Peyton healthy again. That said, Manning needs to do what is best for him and what gives him the best chance to win. If it is leaving the Colts than he needs to go to a contender that he would be the last piece to the puzzle.

Manning’s age has to come into play in making this decision, not just on the Colts side but on his own as well. Who knows, we may see Manning as a Jet, Titan, or even a Redskin to start the 2012 season

Gut tells me that Peyton will end up in Arizona...Fitzgerald and that fanbase, weather, dome stadium, crappy division...it makes perfect sense for him.

What has arizona invested in Kevin Kolb though see the Cardinal with all that money invested in Fitz and Kolb throwing money at Manning.

Manning in the AFC wouldn't have to face Eli for what 4 years?? He would welcome the challenge of Brady twice a season though.

I hope he ends up sitting on his fucking couch.

The guy can't even throw the ball yet. One hit, and he's done.

I forgot about Arizona, definately an option. They play indoors, warm weather, quiet area, I dont see him winning much their though. Especially with the power shift to the NFC and particulary the emergence of the 49ers.

I just dont want to see him end up on the Dolphins, we will all regret not getting him if that happens.
