Rex is probably the last coach Peyton wants to play for. And this guy is already gonna have to deal with the media asking about his health every week... why would he want to be in the same city as his superbowl champ brother. Not to mention, we have no money to give him.

There is literally a zero percent chance we sign Peyton. You guys gotta let it go. Dan Snyder will sell his entire family into sex-slavery before he lets someone outbid him for Peyton's services. If Peyton takes a lower offer, it'll be to play somewhere he really wants to be. That place is not NYC.

    The truth

Well said. He is a risk worth taking for a team like Miami. But I wonder if there are any other teams who would dump a 4th year quarterback with the sixth highest postseason qb rating ever for an old man.

Dilfer says he knows Peytons close to 100%. If thats true then you gotta make a move. Hes a monster, plus the AFC is clearly down right now. Tom Moore says Peyton is almost 100% to cuz he talked to him.

    We will see.

We should be moving heaven & earth to get Manning, he instantly makes our offence deadly. He's never had a capable running team to give him even more options.

I would love the jets to sign Manning

The only way i'd want Manning is if Sanchez stays with the team.
Giving up on Sanchez would be a HUGE mistake in my opinion.

At first I was totally against this. Maybe i am getting caught up in the hype but now I'm torn. This is one of the most durable qb's in nfl history. If he's healed he could play 3-4 years more at an all time level because that's the shape he is in. Deep down I know if the jets make this move Manning likely never returns to form and we end up having to start all over again. It's a major risk but the reward could be huge.

And I know most people think he wouldn't play in ny because of rex and his brother being across town but when it comes down to winning and he really analyzes this the jets are the only team in the running that have one of the great defensive minds in the game on their side. Pairing up Peyton with Rex would give him a better shot at winning a super bowl than Washington, Seattle, Arizona, or Miami would.

I want Peyton if he will play for a $1 per year salary, or I'm even willing to give him $5 a year, that is how much of a big spender I am

It just reminds me too much of the Brett Favre experiment. Plus Sparano doesn't run PMs style of offense. I think we should just stick with Sanchez and run the ball a ton.

As much as I would love for Peyton to become a Jet, I would settle for anything besides him becoming a Dolphin.

Because sticking with a bottom of the league QB the last 3 years really shows their commitment to winning. Nice logic...

Seriously. Imagine facing him 2x a year with Brady. We will be lucky to make the playoffs for awhile.

You sure? We beat em both in 2010 playoffs. Let him go to the Phags, they'll be better but not unbeatable.

If he goes to the fins...I see a season just like the 49ers had last year.
