not sure of correlating the number of teams Revis has been on with that of Peterson's is justified (TOTALLY different reasons) but I see you're point. In a way we traded one oft-injured 2013 CB for another, I'd rather have the incumbent back for sure but signing Peterson is a relative move in line with the strategy Idzik seems to be going with. Build a core through the draft, sign a lot of lower risk (re lower paid) high reward players looking for opportunities to prove themselves to round out the cast, don't commit to anybody that might inhibit that plan to an extent that isn't acceptable. Its not sexy, it may has required sacrificing the opportunity to get some apparent "can't miss" free agents, but if all goes well with enough drafted pieces, those guys are retained and the coaches aboard are doing their jobs well, we'll see a sustained franchise always in contention. That said, if Smith and Milliner in particular become more consistent we should be in contention for postseason ball for a LONG while. I say this with caution, it might not pan out that way, but we have a GM who seems to be in the right mindset to prepare for such eventualities, along with most that will occur in this building process.
I find it very ignorant that YOU can`t see beyond the crap that ANYONE has to honor ANYTHING in Obamaworld USA. The Giants can easily buy out Woody or Woody can easily sell his half, or the NFL can easily step in and make things nice for both the Jets and Giants if one of them would want to move to LA. The NFL desperately, and we all know it, wants a team in Los Angeles simply for the TV money that it would bring in(not even counting anything else it will bring in). They`ll do whatever the hell they want to if they can get a team to go there, ESPECIALLY if it`s a NY team. NY teams do well out there in California. The NFL doesn`t want the Jaguars there. They don`t want the Raiders or Rams back there because niether one worked before and the Vikings will be getting a stadium that blows away what they built here. The best teams to go there would be the Giants or Jets, and we all know the Giants aren`t going anywhere but no one is positive about the Jets. So before you call anyone`s opinions ignorant, look into your own head and see if that ignorance exists there first. Just remember, contracts are signed and broken everywhere in every industry throughout the world. NOTHING is written in stone and even if it was, stones break and crumble.
... I'm at a bit of a loss here, you don't seem to understand much of anything going on. You seem lost in your own wrapped reality. I feel like I can try to explain to you how having a stadium in THE most lucrative market in the country that they poured over 800 billion dollars into less than a decade ago, one that they'd receive all sorts of revenue from anytime a big concert happens in the area, and one that just got a lucrative naming rights deal attached to it that they can get even MORE money from makes no damn sense to move on from even from the shrewdest business perspective- but then I think "he probably won't even be receptive to what I'm telling him, and I'll have been talking to a brick wall." Congrats, you're the first person I'm putting on my ignore list! If you wanna say you won the argument, go ahead and do so, but really I'd rather talk to adults about Jets football than somebody who uses the phrase "Obamaworld USA" to explain why breaching a deal that makes no sense to breach from makes sense. have a good day.
Man yeah don't bother with that guy. I called him Whiney O'Tampon and he started throwing Irish stereotypes at me and then when I told him I was black and not Irish he told me I was pulling the race card. He's really one of the most ignorant people I have ever come across online. Uneducated and quick to anger and really doesn't have anything resembling a point ever. Edit: oh yeah he also tried that Obama crap with me too after I told him I was black, I don't even vote, who cares about Obama.
Being there have ever only been 2 teams to move from NY to California and they were both baseball teams and both moved in 1957 there really is no basis I can think of for you to claim NY teams do well in California. There really is no reason to think the Jets would move anyway, I mean you had 2 franchises there previously and they could not make it, why would the Jets leave an established fan base in the most populated metro area in the country for one with 35% less population?
It's funny you calling someone ignorant then saying one team could "easily buy out" the other team. Do you have any idea how either team financed the stadium? Do you think one team would have the ability to just snap their fingers and miraculously produce 1/2 the capital or financing to pay off the other teams debt, then service that additional debt on 1/2 the income? Or maybe the NFL can just snap it's fingers and just make the Jets bank debt go away? Because that's how Obamaworld USA works? Geez. _
Actually bills have only won 3 of the last 12 times we have played them. After re reading the post you made I am confident vagisil was the correct product.
His completion percentage of 54.6% vs Geno's 55.8% begs to differ. Plus Geno can do something Vick can't do: stay healthy. We haven't upgraded at QB.
Whats stats are you talking about because looking at vicks career stats you dont seem to have a leg to stand on with that comment.
Really? Michael Vick has a career INT percentage of 2.8, having thrown 128 TDs to 85 INT's. On the other side, Geno Smith has a percentage of 4.7, throwing 12 TDs to 21 INT's. In fact, Michael Vick didn't surpass 21 interceptions until his third year in the NFL. Geno hit that number in one season. Michael Vick has a career rating of 80.9 while Geno is at 66.5. Vick's TD percentage is at 4.2 while Geno's is at 2.7. The only statistic even remotely close is the completion percentage, in which Vick is still higher on. Comparing an 11 year career to a 1 year career is ridiculous, but Vick is CLEARLY better than Geno at this point in both careers. If you want to argue that, let's look at Vicks most recent full season at QB and compare it to Geno's season. Vick - 54.9 completion percentage, 16 TD's, 8 INT's, 3.8 TD percentage, 1.9 interception percentage, and an 81.6 rating. Smith - 55.8 completion percentage, 12 TD's, 21 INT's, 2.7 TD percentage, 4.7 interception percentage, and an 66.5 rating. Come again?
I always value what Vegas thinks. Last year, their moneyline on Jets wins was 7. We beat that by 1 more win. This year, as of April 5th. Jets moneyline is standing at 6.5 games and with this, they show Jets as the 6th worst team in the NFL. Just saw this link on another Jets board. http://linemakers.sportingnews.com/...eahawks-packers-broncos-49ers-patriots-eagles
Vick didn't start his rookie season and has only one season with 16 games. Vick has 6 seasons where he played twelve or less games. Of those six season 3 were 10 or less, of those three, two were only eight and five games. So quoting career stats is extremely misleading. Once again career stats are very misleading. Why dont you compare the one season vick played 16 games vs Genos 16 games. I doubt you will want to do that though since 90% of your debate will automatically get thrown in the trash. Yes slightly higher after over a decade of playing professional football If you actually did this before you posted this you wouldn't have posted this. So maybe you should go check those stats. Those are incorrect stats if they are supposed to be Vicks last 16 game season. Not that they are off by huge amounts but definitely incorrect and also lacking passing attempts passing yards and total turn overs. ::HINT:: Vicks last full 16 game season was as a Falcon in 2009. But on the whole vick is a turn over machine add int he fact his health has gotten worse and worse every year since coming back those turn overs will increase also. Least you got Genos stats right but once again missing attempts completions total passing yards. TookVick 8 season to crack the 3k yards mark. In the overall picture vick is more of a threat running the ball to both us and other teams. Vick probably has the confidence edge of Geno but there is no legit statistical proof that Vick is the better current QB to have in our huddle. Even with the talent Philly has at WR/TE/HB he still couldn't get the job done. He would have shit the bed just as bad if not worse then Geno had he been here last year. Vick is a fucking bum at this point of his career and will likely either crash and burn here or end up injured after a few games. Put the youngster in and see if he gets better. Cause even a little bit better performance from him this year with a improved receiver core and he will out perform Vick.
