Very well said. This board is like living in a Marxist socialist state. You either have to say that everyone sucks or support them blindly.

If you give a critical honest evaluation of one player who hurts the Jets, then all of the Utopians on this board need to make sure that the blame is shared by all and they then say you're not a fan which is quite the contrary.

More posters here need to deal in reality. Bottom line is some players on this team just suck and are hurting the Jets and our chances of winning which is why they play the games.

Those players need to be replaced by better players. End of story.

He has sucked so far this year. Really bad which is so disappointing because he was one of my favorite players of the last 3 seasons. I know he had his back problem in camp and I think he sat out week 1. I'm hoping it was just him coming back to early and this is his reason for having such a week push at the line all of a sudden.

I see players out of position, and a general lack of player discipline (staying in gap, seam the outside) contributing to the appearance of poor play on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. There also sems to be a lack of toughness, thus far in the season. Perhaps they're taking a rope-a-dope approach, and intend to save the strength and the best play for later in the season when teams are exhausted.

Since that contract he's been hurt. An at his age, who knows if his back will ever really get better.

so do you think he is fat off his contract or still feeling the effects of injury? it was his back correct?

i would say its pretty safe to say its him coming back from injury and or fighting through it.

in that case ellis should be playing more than the majority of the snaps.

i think rex may be the type who is comfortable with the vets so he doesnt play the young guys over them until he gets comfortable with them. and thats horse shit the best players who are playing the best should be on the field whenever possible.

two players that are killing the team are not injured- sanchez and bart scott.

both are high pay/low production. both should sit. davis should start at ilb with harris, and mcelroy at qb, with tebowcat series at least twice a game.

the other night, the rams started wf hunter at lt and shotty was the oc. the rams won, witha real talent at qb. hunter played well at lt! matbe the rams have a better o-line coach and oc than we do ( sporano)- remember that even the phins fans warned us.

actually, no. maybe the problem is sanchez, not shotty.

compared to sporano, shotty looks like bill walsh.

btw, how much better has our o-line performed since sporano replaced callahan? how can wayne hunter look so bad playing right tackle here but start and look good at left tackle in st. louis? his qb can throw well, and his oc isn't trying to runa ground only attack in a league set up for passing offenses.

on the other hand, if i was stuck with sanchez, i'd be handing off every play.

it's just another example of how guys who should sit are playing while guys who should play more are stuck on the sidelines.

a " veteran" who is not producing should not start just because he's a veteran.

results count, the rest is just stupidity.

Pouha has been playing hurt with a lower back injury, and Ellis has light years to go to be as effective as Pouha CAN be when healthy.

As far as tossing our vets on the scrap heap and bringing in our young guns?

Rex's plan for this season was for his vets to stop the run and set up 3rd and long. THEN bring his young speedsters in to play smear the queer. But so far, we've not seen many 3rd and longs.

Playing his rookies on 1st/2nd down could be a mistake.

These downs are far more complicated than 3rd and long. Defending against the run/pass/screens/reverses/TEs/on/and/on like we do on 1st and 2nd downs is far more complicated than 'kill the QB' on 3rd and long.

Our Defense is built for stopping the run yet we are the second worst rush defense in the league. So i say go with the young guns because obviously our current personnel isnt doing what we are actually good at.

i think they need 4 down linemen all the time with the roster as it stands

even pouha on his best day was no kris jenkins. pouha was, WAS, stout and could hold his spot, but not anymore
