Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Jets DT Sione Pouha (knee), who twisted his right knee during drills on the third day of training camp, is expected to undergo surgery on the knee in the next few days. The Jets won't confirm the injury or the surgery, but it is believed Pouha may need reconstructive surgery, which would likely end his season. The coaches and front office felt Pouha came to camp in excellent shape and was off to a good start as the probable backup to DL Dewayne Robertson at nose tackle.

 

Yep but I CLEARLY use the word player for a reason. Even with WE all 3 are from the 60s team. That shows how devoid of talent we have been for 35 years or so now. Really impressive indictment of our owners,GMs & CS thru the years

Never said I thought he was lying, I just wanted it cross referenced from another paper I trust more. USA Today is a sad excuse for a paper and it's not local, and it's a national paper, which makes it weird that they would break news about a backup DT nobody's ever heard of. I said SIONE lied to us because he said he was fine.

 

Will everybody get a grip. We're talking about player who was drafted way to high and didn't contribute crap last year. People are talking about the season being over because of this injury? Please! There isn't a single player this year who isn't disposible. We are not winning crap this year, remember our offense? It was as bad as it got last year and we didn't improve it at all this year. I don't care if D'brick is Munez and Penny is Montana, we are going to be lucky at 8-8. LUCKY.
