Well, it certainly won't make him the worst, that's for sure.

We know he has a good arm, and we know he will have good durability. How are these possibly bad traits?

All the same things Ryan Leaf had coming into the NFL and what did he do?

The thing is, it's not his workouts that have Cutler projected as early as #4 (if not sooner). Even with stellar workouts, I don't see him being rated any better than Leinert and Young. And if he works out poorly, that shouldn't decrease his value, just as a strong work-out shouldn't drastically increase his value.

Regarding Aaron Rogers, that definitely was a surprise he dropped. But I think that situation was different because throughout the entire college season, he was rated as the top QB. Then 23 teams pass on him for whatever reason. With Cutler, he didn't have the exposure throughout the NCAA season and finally scouts/people are seeing his talent. Like Rogers dropped, Cutler is rising.

Like you said, you saw Cutler play. Anyone who watched Vandy play this past year should recognize Cutler's skills. Vandy was a bad team that was competitive in the SEC, the sole reason being Cutler. Many SEC coaches have said that he is the real deal and they had to scout and gameplan against him very carefully.

Yes, Cutler may be a reach; but if you have a chance at a franchise QB, I think it's okay to reach. The problem is, we pretty much have to "reach" if we want him because someone else will. And if someone else snags him and he turns out to be one of the better QB's in the League, well then that reach is justified and we will have missed out yet again when we had the chance. If he busts, then he busts. But when I weigh the risk/reward of Boom vs. Bust, I'd risk it because the Boom of a franchise QB is much greater than the Bust of a sub-par QB.

    cheers

Why is he doing the bench press? I didn't think QBs did that one? Even when I worked out for college I wasn't made to do that, which made me mad because that was my best workout..

My school had every position do every workout. I think it varies, but the combine makes every player do every one as well. (at least they did the last I was aware of it)

HAH!! Maybe this will juggle the top four picks: Vince Young rumored to have scored a 6 on the Wonderlik. A S-I-X!! As far as I can tell, you'd have an easier time trying to teach a sophisticated offense to the tackling dummies.

Man, I hope it's true. No one should shoot for a middle of the road score on that damn test.

Where's Stafjeff when you need him? Statistically, wouldn't various species of marsupial punching numbers at random be able to score at least a 10? :)

Young reportedly scored a six on the Wonderlik (sic) test at the combine. That makes him slightly smarter than a doorknob.

  15. If that is true, he just moved below Cutler and may end up behind Croyle

Yeah. most QB;s score around 30, give or take. The lowest ever for a QB I think was McNabb at 17. A six is unbelievable..... I mean, really, it is.... it's almost imbecilic. This could actually push him entirely out of the first round.

Here is a sample test at ESPN.... 15 questions, 5 minute time limit. The combine Wonderlic is 50 questions, 12 minutes. For refernce, Eli manning had a 39..... most QB's are over thirty. A 6 is almost illiterate.

Jesus, that test looks annoying. I don't see how that tests intelligence. I'd probably get a shitty grade on that too, but I don't think anyone can question my intelligence. After all, Mensa did offer me membership (although they charge like $50, so I don't understand why an intelligent person would need to pay someone to be told they're intelligent. I think that makes you stupid). If Vince can play QB well, who the fuck cares what some retarded test says? It's not like the score has been confirmed. Could just be Vince Young hate, or racism.

it tests things like quick decision-making (it's timed), quantative skills, logic, etc. those things don't win you games like physical tools do; but QB is probably the postion that requries the most intelligence.

These questions are relatively easy and for Vince Young to bomb them, that tells you something. He may need more than a few seasons to comprehend at an NFL level.

    cheers

The test is ... anoying? What is the ninth month of the year?

What month has the same amount of daylight per day as Semptember?

If you got a lousy grade on this test, sorry, yer an idiot.

My IQ is 132. I got 14 out of 15, due to a stupid mistake in my math. Sorry.... if you score badly on that test, you have a learning disabilty.
