Brad is right here. Only thing stopping Milliner or Pryor from starting would be an injury.

I tend to think Landry is the likely other starter as of now, but that is only more likely than the alternatives. Someone else mentioned Reed, and you have to take that scenario into account. Could Allen earn a starting job? Perhaps. Therefore I can't even say Landry is more likely than not to start.

As for #2 Cb, I have no idea who will start there.

As much as I despise Kyle, I voted for this... Doubt McDougle will be beat out Wilson.

Maybe not as a starter day 1, but I still think Ed Reed has a role to play with us this year. If he was done he would publicly retire and start the clock to Canton. If he was actively seeking any team that would take him we'd have heard something about that as well.

I think he has a "wink-wink" agreement with Rex because he doesn't want to - nor need to - go through camp. Even if he's in a limited role, what he could do for Allen/Pryor's development is worth a roster spot.

Would love seeing Ed Reed roaming around in some 3 safety sets... Reed playing center field, Pryor playing in the box ready to kill, and Allen covering Gronk's bitch ass... Can't wait to see what Rex cooks up.

Along the same lines as Reed, what do you guys think about a veteran / mentor CB? We have a few young guys and an injury plagued CB. Why not bring in someone like an Asante Samuel on a 1 year, vet. min. contract? He would not start, but could be used in packages and help mentor our young CBs.

Do you really want to have to endure the growing pains of yet another rookie CB?

    Yes I do.

The faster that kid develops, the better off in the long run we'll be.

If they had brought in a big time FA CB then that's who I would have rooted for.

Since we did not--rather see McDougle than Wilson or Patterson. Wilson is our nickel and I'm fine with that.

Ugh, you have a stronger stomach than I do. I can't. For the sake of my big screen TV, they better not start another rookie. My TV barely survived Milliner. It was almost a goner in that first Pats game when Milliner lined up on the wrong side of the field thus handing Dobson the easiest TD he will have at any level ever.

I am confident between Wilson, walls and Patterson and Ras I dowling we can find someone to step up and play the two while Dee continues to improve upon a strong finish. Much more confident in our secondary now that safety position went from a position of weakness to strength.

When do mini camps and rookie camps begin?

I voted for "other" just because I didn't want to vote for any combination with "Laundry" (regardless of whether you were talking about clean or dirty laundry lol ;-).

Seriously, I think there's a chance the starting secondary could be Milliner Walls Landry Pryor

I feel he will as well, just not right away. I think he'll earn the position around game 5 or 6.
