Can't agree more. Hell for all I know I will be 6 feet under by the time they all age out. I'm all about winning now.

which is kind of my point. we cant judge mac now. we judge him once he starts brining in draft picks and replacing the older core here without having 50M to spend

we will need a starting LT very soon

we will need to address contracts for 2 of our top 10 players (sheldon/mo) real soon

we will need to address qb soon

we will need to replace harris soon

cro/revis one of them likely isnt here or will have to be convinvced to take team friendly deals

those things are how we judge mac, not spending a boatload and having the #6 pick

And Chad in that Teal colored uni got the last laugh ... I don't think Favre cared all that much about being a Jet. It was his only way to get out of the Packers clutches.

The Tebow thing, just a bad move - instead on focusing on what's important which was building the football team and increasing the talent base - I think Woody got a hard-on for Tebow. PSLs!

Woody stayed out of the draft process which is good, but this was after Woody and Wolf made the hires. It should continue to stay that way, draft room, FA acquisitions, everything. When things aren't going well, Woody likes to stick his head in a place he shouldn't be. You know Woody wanted Revis back badly and would do anything to get him back.

I want the GM to be accountable for his actions, keep Woody out of the room.

Hell yes, I would love that. More-so Ron Wolf though. He should've went to the HOF as a Jet in the first place.

What's your point? Woody does the hiring and makes the decisions. It just took him a while to realize that he needed some help.

Have to hand to Mac.. not just for the obvious signings of Revis, Cro, Skrine, and the trade of Marshall but also the trade of Fitz, drafting of Williams and Mauldin, bringing back Colon and Harris, signing Carpenter,

Fitz - Hoyer, Mallet, McCown were all options but we got the best one (3rd best according to the Texans.)
Williams- NO need for DL at all but he's already done more in one game than what our last #6 pick did his whole career (Gholston) and he's a beast.
Mauldin - Many people including myself liked Duke Johnson and Jaleen Strong but neither has done much yet and Mauldin has looked great. Hopefully he gets healthy soon
Colon - Many people including myself wanted a replacement but Colon has really improved so far this year.
Harris - Just about everyone thought he got way too much money but he has been awesome so far.
Carpenter - Didn't hand out the big money and still got a solid starter.

All in one year. Fixing Mangold, Bricks, and Cro? contracts next year along with tagging Mo and we're set. Bring in a couple more free agents and another solid draft class and Mac has an easy life.

Agreed. Furthermore, I think Rex put an undeniable stamp on personnel decisions and it has always surprised me how little this is brought up.
