Hahahahaa...making excuses for the QB? You're right. A good QB would have thrown the ball and then ran out and caught his own pass. Its obviously his failing as QB because his WRs can't catch.
Yeah so let's blame the most consistent player on offense this preseason (besides Mangold) c'mon man - there's more to the offense than ... aww fuck it no point in saying so. Your off today man.
I haven't posted here in almost a year and it's still the same exact argument. Everyone knows the qb play is below average but many don't want to admit it. Sanchez played his best game of the preseason last night and he still couldn't get the team in the end zone. That tells you all you need to know.
guys you cannot win games by only kicking fgs. sanchez job is not to set up nice fgs - its to score TDs. So by definition when the team doesn't score any TDs for the 3rd straight game - that is a sucky performance. Qbs are judged on scoring TDs and winning games its a basic and simple football fact.
Coples simply makes plays if you don't double team him. He will cause prodiction all season. We've seen what both Wilkerson & Ellis can do 1 on 1. Pick your poison o-lines.
It's not like they had an amazing offense when Tom Moore was here. The QB play also declined during his one year tenure with the Jets.
Sanchez's job is to score TDs in games that count. Something we haven't had yet this season. Also first game Sanchez played with his NEW and now FUTURE Oline and his #1-3 WR and his #1 TE, you know the starters we are going to hopefully roll out for the games that count.
#1 in RZ offense. Him and Plax improved the RZ offense, one of the reasons we went 8-8 and not worse. We rarely got to the RZ but when we got there, we scored a TD. This year seems like it may be the opposite. We may reach there a lot, but settle for FGs. Too early to tell, but we did lose a huge RZ threat in Plax but I would say Hill is better inbetween the 20s than Plax last year
Whoa, thought this was a Sanchez/offense thread. Back on track. Coples looked solid. Really excited for the future of our D-Line. The Jets turned an old unit into one of the youngest in the league. Getting pressure from the D-Line will make everyone's job easier on defense. What an overhaul
There were a lot of skeptics in the media who trashed us for the Coples pick. It seems like, in this instance, Tanny knew best.
Totally agree on Santonio's as well as the Hill drop for INT, but the Epps pass was a bad throw by Mark...and Mark had an awesome night IMO. The Hill pass in the end zone was 50/50 on each of them (Mark for maybe zipping it and placing it high) and Hill for mistiming his jump.
I loved when MO MO had Newton on the ground and gave him that little extra forearm to the neck......Our DLINE is going to teach some teams Olines to be humble this year.....Attitude!
Loved it when, I am pretty sure it was Mo who shoved the face of Cam Newton into the ground with an elbow and the announcers said, "Hey Cam Welcome to the NFL " Just cant wait for that to happen to Brady. Go Jets
