Carolina (Steve Smith and Keyshawn Johnson), New Orleans (Marques Colston and a healthy Joe Horn, along with Reggie Bush), and even Detroit (Roy Williams and Mike Furrey) are nothing to sneeze at either.

We have way bigger needs on both sides of the ball than WR. Brad Smith is going to develop into a good wide receiver as well in the future, a la Cotchery. I think that our secondary, D Line, and RB positions all need a boost.

Also, I don't think that Chad is the long term answer. Clemens may not be either. Look for us to draft a 3rd QB in the latter rounds of the 07 draft.

I've never seen Justin Miller walk off the field before the game is over, skip practices, give up on plays, demand that he gets more attention, etc, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I like Randy Moss and all his antics, which is somewhat hypocritical of me since I think TO is a total douchebag. But nevertheless, I still don't think Moss (or TO for that matter) is a "Mangini" guy.

I would rather spend the money and acquire three seperate players that could help us out all around the field

Why in the world would Randy Moss want to be a #3 WR?

I agree, T.O. is different. He is beyond a big ego, he's delusional. I'd love to just pick out McCareins and plug in Moss. ;-)

He wouldn't want to, but maybe he'd earn it. We all know Cotchery all about training camp. And LC is super consistent. Imagine these 40+ yard plays that have been going to JMc these past couple of games, imagine them going to Moss (plus another toss or two during the game).

    No.

We have Coles and Cotch, solid combo. And plenty of depth with JMac, B. Smith, Dwight, Wallace, etc.

IF Moss takes a huge paycut, so that he is affordable, THEN you'd have to be retarded to pass this guy up. Did you see what happened to the Vikings after Moss left? And I'm to believe HE was the problem there? And the Raiders, are you kidding me, Moss is a freaking model citizen compared to those guys, I refuse to believe he is detrimental to that locker room.

The fact is, Moss is an elite WR, and for all our alleged great weapons, we simply have not been great on offense. Am I the only one that watched the Browns, Bears, Jags and Fins games? I guaratee you with Moss there, that does not happen, the D is simply forced to respect him and can't home in on the short pass. With a gamebreaker like Moss, Chad has a real good shot at producing at an elite level. I'm amazed sometimes that the people that support Chad so much also refuse to give him gamebreakers. I've been critical of Chad, but the fact is a big target helps any QB out.

It's probably moot, we probably won't get him, he'll probably cost too much or simply be unavailable. But boy, would this O get a huge upgrade if he did. We're 6th in terms of points allowed on defense, yet we're only 9-6 now. With a competent offense, we'd be a legit SB threat.

If Moss came at a reasonable price and became a Mangini it could be good , give him a tryout.
On the plus side if he did join he could take #83 and we could all wear our old jerseys again saving us heeps

I said yes, reason being: Its always a good thing to get guys together that had a great thing at one time, and that could be an understatement for what they did at marshall. Moss has matured to a point and i really think Mangini can keep him under control, and even turn him into a team mentor kind of like Barlow. I would love to see moss, just as a number 2 even. Schott will find a way to get everyone involoved.
