I think you're missing my point. Why are so many people hanging on his every word? What makes his opinion better than yours or mine? Whether his choice at 30th best or 34th best turns out to be more accurate than ours why are so many here so interested in giving him such deference?
Yeah, I get what you're saying but what if another guy put up the same kind of list that had almost nothing in common with this guy's? Whose is better? All opinions are worth checking out but what makes his more valuable than anyone else's and why is he treated by some as a guru? He has a flashy website - is that good enough? I do appreciate that the X-factor makes an attempt to separate reporting from opinion but that's not as easy to accomplish to many as it might be. I'd suggest keeping an open mind and considering all sources of information rather than accepting anyone singular opinion simply because it is constantly promoted.
As for the actual list, it highlights the lack of proven talent on the roster. I don’t disagree with much on it. I’d rank Cashman a bit higher based on his limited productivity and upside. Seeing 3 CB’s back to back to back where they were stuck out because I expect that position to be a weakness yet they were ranked in the top half of he roster. That was sobering. I understand why Wilson and Moore aren’t up top but I expect them to move up quickly. I’d put Chuma Edoga at the bottom based on disappointment alone.
Second guy sounds like a nut job. I'm not THAT ignorant about the Jets roster. No worries there, friend.
You're being such a curmudgeon. The thread is to discuss the rankings and criticize or applaud them. Not to constantly criticize the source of the information. You then go into the Cimini & Mehta threads and encourage people to do the opposite of what you're doing - don't shoot the messenger! I don't really like Nania for the reasons I stated earlier but you're being a hypocrite and derail all threads with articles with opposite messages depending on how you feel about the writers.
Well, I certainly don't, when those guys are on the field I'm off making a drink or getting snacks in lol
Sorry you can't see the difference. Keeping an open mind and listening to all opinions is essential; blindly following a self professed expert might get you a trip to the NFL equivalent of Jonestown. Have you read how Nania describes himself? But you knew that, which is why you edited my comment to change its message. Lame.
Really? If the entire thread is about the opinions of Nania, how is it derailing the thread by criticizing the guy who wrote those opinions? The guy is such a blatant homer and the guys who hang on his every word as if it came down from the Mount are laughable. Those other threads you reference often advocate not even reading what Mehta and Cimini produce - something I have never done regarding Nania; I simply point out his lack of objectivity. Read it all but read it with a critical eye, not just accept it because you like to hear the cheerleading. I've never suggested anything else.
