these aren't extremes, you simply want to reduce the scenario so it meets your already formed opinion. logic reveals intelligence, and logic dictates you weigh the complexity of the situation prior to forming an opinion, which is the opposite of what you have done. all you have done is reduce the event to he hit him, thus he is at fault, and now I'll only address the elements of the situation that validate that and ignore what does not. that's just stupid.
