I definitely feel a certain affinity for all the AFC East teams going back to the AFL days. I'm pretty old, so I think of Buffalo when I think of the Patriots' traditional rival (I remember listening to the radio broadcast of a big game between the Patriots and Bills at Fenway park). I don't have any strong,
negative feelings about the Dolphins, but I still "hate" (too strong a word) the old NFL franchises who looked down upon the AFL. So basically I root for AFC teams who were not old NFL franchises.

That's like my dad, he's a Jet fan from the 60s. I go back to 1974, so Miami and Shula were the glamor team in our division, then it got worse all those years with Marino. I've spent a good bit of time up your way, it seems to be more Pats fans across the board. Down here you have this idiot ginzo element of Dolphin fans with their Marino jerseys and their nonsense, talking Super Bowl every year. I actually knew more Dolphin fans than Jet fans growing up, which is plain stupid. The games we've had with them over the years have only fueled it, the Mud Bowl, the O'Brien-Marino 86 game, the 91 finale, the spike game, the MNF miracle, it goes on and on.

What on earth are we going to do with a receiver who can't catch the football?

As someone who has worked in the intelligence arena, I can tell you that the Jets can learn much more from Reche Caldwell than what plays are in the playbook and what the Patriots' specific attacks on the Jets will be on Sunday, and Bill Belichick knows this as well, although he is not letting on because he knows the game that is being played. He plays it with precision. If I were the Jets and my biggest division contender had traded for Randy Moss, and Randy Moss stayed out of camp with an 'injury' for most of the offseason and didn't see any reps in preseason, I would want to know about the general climate of the offense surrounding Moss and the coaching staff. Caldwell may not have been in on a lot of the 1st team offense, but he was certainly in the locker room. There's more to this than the gameplan. Football is a billion-dollar industry and this is corporate espionage.

Back in the old days, Herm would just order 20 pizzas and have them delivered to Belichick's house. This seems like a much better plan.

Since we are playing make believe CIA agent and what not.. Let me throw this scenario at you.. I believe Belli knew a long time ago that Reche was getting the AX and anticipated Mangini's snake move, and try to get the goods on the game plan, Moss situation... Belli implemented some fake ass gplan... Then cuts Reche anticipating Mangini's move, then Belli implements the real game plan today.. lol.. I know that's some crazy shit, but I wouldn't put it passed Belli...

Disclaimer: I AM ONLY KIDDING WITH THIS SCENARIO:breakdance:

Well at least Mangini will be getting some free pizzas in week 17. Someone should tell Herm that prank only works when you don't give the guy on the phone your credit card number.

Man in Black: All right. Where is the poison? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both drink, and find out who is right... and who is dead.
Vizzini: But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you: are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemy's? Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool, you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.
Man in Black: You've made your decision then?
Vizzini: Not remotely. Because iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows, and Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you.
Man in Black: Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.
Vizzini: Wait til I get going! Now, where was I?

I'm sure this will be described as a masterful move by such expert gamesmen as Pioli and Belichick.
