I highly doubt you could expect Cooper and a 1&3, Dallas has the Jets by the short hairs here with Adams demanding a trade. But, I would definitely take Cooper in a deal.

Dallas absolutely does not have the Jets.

The player is under contract for multiple years...in a Covid-19 offseason. He has to play for the Jets this year. And then there's how well the Jets do and how willing they are to extend him at that point.

All this talk does is increase talk in forums. It's not actual leverage.

  3. Not exactly my friend.

The fact that Adams wants the cowboys so bad & that they mightve actually tampered last yr at trade deadline gives the jets leverage specifically over Dallas

only if they could prove something. Also I have no interest in cooper at 20 million per.

  5. no to cooper at that figure.

My point is solely about jets having negotiating leverage

I disagree. Dallas has zero leverage. The Jets have all the leverage. It doesn't mean squat that Adams wants to play for the Cowboys. He's under contract to the Jets for two more years, and they could franchise him after that. They don't have to trade him anywhere especially to Dallas.

I have little interest in Cooper. He has a lot of talent, but is inconsistent and disappears during seasons or for most of a season. He disappeared at the end of last season and had a couple of meh years with the Raiders. I'd take La'el Collins or Lamb, and/or draft picks.

Alleging tampering does not provide leverage - proof does. Anything else just sounds like whining. Mind you I’m not saying they didn’t tamper, I just don’t know that they did.

Haven't you all heard the news? Both Gase and Williams want Adams to stay on the team...so that's that !

Plus Gase and Bell are buddies now

  9. Its the fact that Adams & Dallas obviously want eachother combined w the 2 possibly 3 yrs Jet control that creates the leverage.

The possible tampering is just kind of an x factor.Did they? Most likely not.But is their enough evidence to justify the Jets making assertions? Yep. Regardless of whether they did or did not do the Cowbpys want a complaint made to the league & all the Negative PR associated? Hell no.

11 mill this year, 20 in 2021. Then there is an out. So you could have Cooper 2 years 31 mil.

. . Maybe if you were the Jets' GM and the Jets' safety in question was Trump . ; ) . .otherwise ...... just the opposite.

. . Adams has zero--repeat: .zero leverage. . Add on to that the current landscape and it's minus-zero.

idk you could be right but I think he has more leverage than people realize. Last year when he PMSed at the trade deadline the Johnsons even made a statement kissing his butt

Well if the Johnsons learned anything post-Maccagnan, they should know to put a sock in it 'butt kissing-wise' and let their GM serve as GM.
