That no name, once-was Burleson really shouldnt have had the game that he did however. Revis needs a little more support.
I admit I was scared of Megatron...But its about time Rex man'd up and let Revis just stay on Calvin the whole game
CJ has been making a case for being the #1 WR in the NFL lately, but his competition is pretty good too. Not that Revis didn't keep Andre in check.
Now that we are aware Revis has returned to us, our pass defense should improve dramatically. We just need to figure out how to man up on a slot receiver.
I liked that they were playing alot more cover2 than man today. It certainly helped out on the other receivers and played a big part in shutting down Megatron as we dictated when he was going to be involved and when he wasn't due to down and distance.
Yeah Optimus Prime (Revis) really did keep Megatron in check today But I dont think Kyle Wilson is the answer to our problems, he is the guy that not only gives up plays but gives up the big plays on top of causing penalties because he gets beat off the line or in cuts so often Wilson just isn't ready yet I'd rather have Drew out there giving up completions instead of the big plays or pass interference calls
He was awesome today, simply awesome. It is a shame he has trouble with tall WR's. I think he has Yao Ming coming up.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only throw CJ's way in the 2nd half was the one in the end zone. It was kind of a weird way to attack Revis. They went at him 3 times in the first four or five plays and had some success, and then didn't really go at him again throughout the course of the game. I think Burleson caught a ball with Revis covering him late in the 4th, but that's about it.
So we had both the Johnson's shut down.I really didnt hear Cromartie mentioned much at all second half I guess thats a good thing.
Look at these Lion doofuses trying to justify why Calvin Johnson was ineffective today...bahahaha. Apparently the plan was to throw it to Burleson all day. http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=93&f=1801&t=6665257
Some success? I am trying to figure out how only getting 1 catch for 13 yards on a virtually impossible to defend pass, constitutes "some success"? There were better matchups elsewhere. There is no way to attack pass coverage like that other than attacking Drew Coleman. Your team, particularly Stafford did well staying away from Cromartie and Revis and going after the weaker links, worse matchups.....
I meant that in those first few plays, CJ caught the ball twice and Revis broke up the other. One of the catches was called back due to penalty IIRC.
